Recently, Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback Justin Layne was arrested for possession of an illegal firearm. Today he reached a plea deal, pleading guilty to a misdemeanor:

This is good news for Layne and the team. It still remains to be seen if punishment will be dealt to Layne or if he will be with the team moving forward. We will continue to update as more unfolds.

Wait and see if old Roger suspends him for 6-8 games.

Trade him to the Pats, and they will not only remove the suspension but give them an additional 3rd rounder

Unca Al will review the arrest and determine Layne did nothing wrong, in fact he was so lawful the Patsies**** deserve compensation.

Called it. Took the plea so no felony on his record. NFL can't do **** about it.

Wait... In the current political atmosphere, can't a black fella argue that he HAS To carry in order to protect himself from the PoPo?

****, that would fly in Philly!

Sure can. As long as he's licensed and preferably has a CCW permit. Something I advocate all eligible Black folks to do. Ya just never know when you might need it.

*Before anyone gets their little silkies in a bunch, I DO NOT advocate pulling a weapon on the police in any situation. Even if you're in the right, it's a good way to find yourself pushing daisies.

I would beg to differ. Id say 2 games but dude is depth. And so far not very good depth. So it is what it is.

How many games did Chung get?

Pleading to lesser charges and having your charges conditionally dismissed are not the same thing. They probably couldn't make a case because it was hard to tell who the Scarface pile of Coke belonged to. Probably the best thing for Layne would be to not walk away Scott free on this. Though Ben's suspension was unjust in my opinion, its hard to argue he didn't rehabilitate himself afterwards. I think he is a much better public person now. I just wish the Media would allow the same redemption they have for all these other *******.

If the pats want him swap him n a pick for Gilmore

Absolutely no doubt on the ******* "jaded" media. Godell is just as bad. There is no rhym or reasoning behind some of the suspentions and fines. Since the committee has been formed I think it's a little better but the "rog" still has his hand in it.
