Well Washington,DM,Juju,Switz, and Eli are healthy. ditto Holton and Spencer if they wish to partake.

Only tough spot is for DJ getting early playing time IMO...

From the article:

“He’ll contribute because he’s a quick study. He is intelligent. He’s obviously quick and he can execute routes,” offensive coordinator Randy Fichtner said. “He’s still got a lot to learn. He’s got to get through the growing pains of pain and injury. It’s always preparing your body to avoid injury. That’s the thing that gets you first. You’ve got to get him through those things. I’m hopeful he can help us in some type of role.”

Telling IMO.

Well, if he's hurt - he's hurt. We've seen glimpses of his talent---without knowing the seriousness of the injury I'd be very cautious. Worse case scenario sit him until he's healed...

If he can't suit up put him on PUP for 8 weeks or whatever. We need live bodies to start the year.

Here we go.....Preseason is too damn long

I don't think he is eligible for the PUP as he has already practiced and played. He can however go on IR and come back after 8 weeks. Which I don't think will happen unless his injury is significant.

I'm not going to judge the kid. But some guys just don't have the physical make up. Hines Ward was almost impossible to keep out of games. The most important ability is availability.l

hurt? what's wrong? i saw him playing just fine against the chiefs a couple days ago. . .

He can't go on the PUP, he practiced in TC

a rookie missing time won't leave the Steelers in a tight spot, especially at WR.

Well, if he's hurt - he's hurt.

That's not on any injury report. If he's a china doll, which I'm not saying he is, or saying he isn't, but if he is -- that's worrisome.

Is he hurt now? He played well against the Chiefs and from what I have heard, he is practicing this week and is looking forward to getting reps with Ben this weekend. Did we miss something?

Somehow I think there is something good in all of this. We have a long list of healthy guys as Slash mentions, 3 weeks still remaining before season begins and we're not dealing with a hold out or a head case. Relax, breathe and take caution with any injury first and foremost of this rookie. Sounds like media is searching for things to talk about and that to me is a good thing. We have the most balance between the backfield, TE and REC corps in years. Spread the ball around and give Johnson time to heal if necessary. He will contribute at some point.... he is a rookie and most of us did not know who the hell he was when drafted so let's not act like he has to replace AB's production by himself or the season is lost.:logo:

Very. Fichtner is calling out his toughness. I did not see Johnson take a big hit. What exactly is wrong with him? Bumps, scratches, and bruises are part of being an NFL player

It looks like Washington is much improved. He's faster, getting open and catching the ball. Now he can take advantage of his vertical jumping skills.

You all need to relax, roll one,pop one or drink one. And Fichtner or whatever needs to STFU. He is a rookie. Almost every rookie goes through this, the combine, the pro days, the pre-draft visits, rookie camp, mini-camp, and preseason. It's called soft tissue injuries. It's one thing to prepare for the NFL and another to get the **** beat out of you by the big boys. Shazier went through it, everybody calling him a china doll. Conner went through it his rookie year. It is literally growing pains. Once he gets on an NFL regimen he will be fine.

You all need to relax

Probably. And even Ben said of being a rookie, they have a full college schedule, then training for the combine & draft, then TC with their new team, then going back out there just to get hit by the big boys.

Just hope that this guy's okay.

If there aren't any stories worth telling, then make one up....
