Did anyone notice him in the broadcast with Gay on his knees and Porter on his knees coming towards each other to embrace? HAD ME LOLing.....Gotta love Peezy.....He has such a passion for the game he's one of my all-time fav's and still climbing the charts....even in retirement!

Anyone got a videoclip of it? Was pretty damn funny!

That was a pretty sweet "excessive " celebration. loved every moment of it.

I like/liked Joey but he his way way down on my all time list. Just way to many greats.

As far as modern era Steelers after the 70's Steelers Porter ranks up there. When I think of Joey I'll always remember the 2005 AFC Divisional game vs the Colts....he played outta his mind in that game! One of his best ever!

I saw nothing wrong with the celebration. They were on the sideline already and not in the field of play. You can do what you want (almost) on your own sideline. BS call in my book.

I agree with you there.

he was still on the field of play when he started dancing the second time....even the third time when Blake walked up to him..he wasn't on the sideline until he started walking on his knees toward Porter

it was pretty much text book "excessive" celebration And it was great!

Since the NFL moved the kickoffs up to increase the likelyhood of touchbacks, excessive celebration penalties are meaningless. Take penalty on every F'n touchdown.

They were able to return the KO and to the 32 at that. I don't understand how that's meaningless.

I'm not too worked up about it, but I can't condone it either as under different circumstances, it could cost us a game.

Was cool, but it cost the team.
Truly hate the celebration bullshit. Spike ball or walk off. The extra bullshit is a joke.

its about the team....not the individual...

There was a bunch of players involved.. so it was kind of a team thing.
I'm usually not a huge fan of the celebrations but I really enjoyed this one for some reason.

I don't think it was meant so much as a celebration for a great pick 6 (sure it had something to do with it), but rather a giant "go suck it" to the refs. Circumstances being what they were at that point, I'm ok with this one.

I loved the celebration - ALL OF IT. It's a shame that we got a penalty on it. Gay should have punted it in the stands like AJ Green - he didn't get a penalty...

We should have kicked the ball in the stands after every score after they didn't flag AJ Green.......In fact BOS shold have went down there after a FG and kicked the fricken ball into the stands.

DARE the refs to throw the flag.....Highlight their incompetence.

I think all celebrations should be allowed so long as it doesn't slow down play. Just make them pay for any balls they toss into the stands and call it good. If you don't want to see their retarded celebrations, man up and stop them from scoring.

At the end of the day, it's a game. Let them have their fun. The fans love it and the only thing it hurts is the opposing team's psyche.

Both Porter and Farriior were amazing leaders.

Those 2004 and 2005 teams, though the former fell short, were perhaps the most fun Steelers' team I've followed.

I think the dancing and celebrating look ******* horrible. I can't stand it when other teams do it and I don't like it when the Steelers do it. Just like Cam and his head bobbling ****. It looks ignorant.

It wasn't an Antonio Brown front flip or goal post celebration, but I enjoyed it. If a guy scores a touchdown, I don't mind a little celebration. It's much better than celebrating a routine catch, first down or a tackle after giving up a 15-yard gain.

The first part was OK, but I thought taking it to the sideline was a little "Gay," myself.

Like most of the Board I get frustrated with the young DB's at times. But I still remember well the abuse Gay took from this Board both for his play and his name during his early years and say stay patient. Somebody saw something!
