Jim Mora says rookie of the year will be.....

He is an amazing player, and yes if he and Ramsey get healthy (and Fowler comes back strong), that Jags D is going to be absolutely ferocious and I imagine they will take the biggest leap as a team from '15 to '16

That being said, seems a bit out of place on a Steelers board, but whatever, I'll take football talk where I can get it

Here's thing. Even if he is great to start, I heard reports that he might get 3 years out of that knee. You damn well know if that ends up being the case and the Steelers took him, this board would be full of bitching about how the hell can they take a guy with that kind of knee condition? It's a no win situation. Let it play out. It's all bullshit anyway until the games start.

Yeah they would have to add a couple new wings to the HOF if every player that was clearly making it right out of college did... Reggie Bush was the greatest talent ever at RB once... lol

This is football related, I'm fine with it. I'm not sure if Jack is playing this season, so Mora will have a tough time being right if he doesn't see the field.

Robot tackling dummy. Runs the 40 around 5s. I wonder how it works as it looks like a regular tackling dummy. Maybe that can put a 95 jersey on it and it can take uncle Jarvis spot.

Reggie cleaned up. It turns out he was more or a 3rd-5th round talent and was taken in the top 3. He wasn't a complete bust, but he was overrated, big time.

That's cause he was amazing in college. The best back wed ever seen. Then he got to the NFL.

Senquez Golson will be rookie of the year (bold prediction of the year)

Great, that and 12 bucks will get me a movie ticket.

Reggie Bush was, and still is, the best RB I've ever seen in college.. Wasnt that crazy to think he'd dominate the league too, but hey things happen

Has Jack played a game yet? Let's hold off 5 plus years before even talking about him being a great player and a few years after that before you even mention him as one of the greatest. That's just crazy talk about a guy who has never played a game yet.

His knee is why Jags got him when they did. His talent is worthy of a top 5 pick. His knee could go either way; he could have a short career or he could play over a decade; we just don't know. Jags felt he was worth the risk.

problem with that is

he isn't a rookie

on a team desperate for wins that isn't one player away sure take that risk

was good that a SB contender didn't

Don't know the rules but as he didn't play a second of regular season football I thought his rookie season would be this one

No. That's baseball. Can be comeback player of the year, or did he need to be playing first to have something to come back from?

He was on a team with superior players at every position compared to their competition. There is a lot more open space out there in college. He got to the NFL, and those wide open holes were just not there. Every gap fills up real fast in the NFL. He was just another scat back when it came to the NFL, actually less special than was Darren Sproles.

I don't know, he didn't exactly have elite size to be an every-down back and he was no longer going to be the fastest player on the field in the NFL. It was going to be tough for him to replicate his success in the NFL as he did in college and we saw that.

Yet Bell improved in the NFL to show more versatility than his college tape.

Eh.....I don't care if our guys win rookie of the year. Sure it would be a nice thing to have. But as long as our guys hoist that 7th lombardi

I thought several were skeptical bush could make the leap. He was pretty small and his speed is negated by nfl speed. Anyways I would not have been upset if the steelers took jack..no matter how good jack becomes, if burns works out I count that as a win for us.

Well clearly a lot of teams were scared off by Jacks health. It is a boom or bust pick in the first round.
