Fired. Just saw it on Sportscenter.

At least we aren't Redskin's fans.

In a recent conversation with someone who knows Dan Snyder well and is aware of his thoughts on potential next #Redskins head coaches that any list of candidates would include: #Steelers HC Mike Tomlin, #Bucs DC Todd Bowles, #Chiefs OC Eric Bieniemy.

work out a trade...

Its just a shame that we don’t have a first next year... it would totally be worth a first to trade Tomlin, Butler and Fitch to them..... oh wait you mean them giving something for us? I guess thats better... i mean we can always use an extra bag of deflated footballs or a new tackling dummy...

All you people that want Tomlin gone, who do you have lined up for the next coach??!!!!!!!????!!

There are good candidates out there.. that’s a terrible reason to keep a under performing HC.

I'd take a hard look at Ryan Day or possibly Lincoln Riley as both of their teams look very well coached in all phases of the game. Day is an offensive mind who has some NFL experience.

Before coming to Ohio State, Day coached in the NFL for two years and spent 10 seasons as a Division I assistant coach.

Day started his career in 2002 coaching tight ends at New Hampshire, his alma mater. After working as a graduate assistant under Meyer at Florida in ’05, he spent time coaching wide receivers at Temple for a single season in ’06 under Al Golden. He went on to hold the same position at Boston College from ’07 to ’11.

Day returned to Temple as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach for one more season in 2012. He went back to Boston College for two seasons under the same role.

Switching to the NFL, Day was a quarterbacks coach under Chip Kelly with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2015 and the San Francisco 49ers in 2016. Day played as a quarterback for New Hampshire from 1998-2001, when Kelly was the school’s offensive coordinator.

A ham sandwich. Major upgrade.

toasted bread - one slice, open face. sautee the ham in some butter and top with cheddar and a fried egg. Season and some chopped chives sprinkled on top.

Damn. and we had ham for sunday dinner. leftovers gonna be grand.

Anyone not stupid or scared enough to run a wildcat play where you throw the ball from your own side of the field, and gift the other team points. If the guy thinks Mason can't make the throws, then why is he out there? When we are forced to abandon our **** game plan week after week, this team shows they can play, but until that point they look lost, and that's on the coaching staff.

Joe

For all those who worry about our next HC if Cool Shudders is gone, I say this.
OMG, who are we going to get if Noll retires or if Cowher leaves?
Trust me, plenty of young, innovative assistant coaches out there for you Artie. No more Rooney Rule please. Hire the best you can find.

I agree Roy. I get rid of the entire staff st seasons end. I really believe with a fresh approach with a young, bright, innovative new HC and coordinators, there is enough talent to make this team successful.
Tomlin,Fitchner should be on the hot seat for that crap show they put out there yesterday. Wildcat worked against Bungels but to think it would work against Ravens is crazy. And who in the hell passes from the wildcat, and deep in their own end of the field? That’s nuts.
ST’s should have been addressed years ago and have gotten rid of that buffoon Danny Smith.

Was JUST reading this on ESPN.
I then got down on bended knee and folded my hands and asked God to please make it so even though he's got far more important things to tend to.

Hopefully THE REDSKINS have the interim for the rest of the season, and Rooney tells HCMT he should "retire" at the end of the season.
Then yes, line up interviews with Munchak, Day, Riley, the ham sammich, etc.

It’s too bad Munchack isn’t still with us to step in as interim coach after trading Shades to Wash.

that's just it, isn't it. For all who want Tomlin fired immediately, who is the interim coach. No, this isn't a question of what young innovator is out there. Those guys are very unlikely to leave their current team until season end. So, fine, hire the best guy then. Who do you have as interim? Fitch? Butler? Sherman? I am not sure I want the locker room drama associated with all that either. Right now, to me, the correct course is to do everything you can to keep the team together in the locker room right now. At the same time, start assembling a list of candidates and doing your homework (assuming that isn't already under way).
