if shazier can add 10-15 from last year by camp and holds it down vs the run if jj flops kick ryan to rolb and stick vince in next to lt

Eh, article doesn't say more than what you would expect less than a year after wrist surgery; "still rehabbing for strength, motion and mobility". He's been lifting with Harrison and the other LBs, so it's not like his wrist is locked up or about to fall off. Sounds like the fine tuning they do when you are close to the end of rehab after having surgery to a major joint (knee, shoulder, wrist, etc.).

As a matter of fact, Kaboly even calls it "minor issues"; contrary to the headline, which makes it seem like he's dealing with a Bleieresque rehab.

In the 70s these guys were crafted from a different mold. Now they get paid, get hurt and fizzle out.

Ask JJ Watt about being hurt....he doesn't give a ****....he plays!

Yea, but Watt has skills. Jarvis does not.

Kaboly / trib don't even put up a picture of him in Steelers uniform, opting instead to show him in his Georgia Uniform. Slight? Or just laziness by Kaboly?

I shattered my radius and needed surgery over five years ago and I still have nerve damage problems with it. I couldn't help but wonder if JJ is dealing with the same thing.

I popped out about three of the little bones in the wrist wrestling in high school. Had to do the rehab exercises, etc. for about 9 months. Didn't bother me in my 20's. In my late thirties I'd get a twinge every now and then. Now in my mid forties and I can tell the weather by the aches in my wrist. Still have full mobility and strength though.

They probably couldn't find a pic of him in uniform, only in the Duce Staley Memorial Sweatsuit.
Besides being small and slow, Jones is apparently one of those players who is out hurt a lot. Not always their fault but that's just how it goes with some players.

yeah, what he said

He had issues with his spine in college and I just wonder if he does not have some limiting factor in regards to his skeletal health. I know a bone can be broken for anyone, but it seems he may have had more problems than many. I am not saying this to imply that he is not doing all he can just that he may have hit his peak in college and his body is not letting him go further try as he might.

Shazier, J. Jones, and Spence. Since when have high Steeler draft picks at linebacker become china dolls? Timmons is as durable as they come.

Spence had a freak accident. including him isnt very educated.

I agree with this. I still say get rid of Jarvis if another team cuts someone decent in camp.

We could have drafted Gregory in rd 2 for insurance. Maybe Lemon will end up being good and Jarvis can split time with him after Deebo retires. Jarvis would be the backup.

Do not want gregory if we want insurance they have Tommy Maddox number. We have Dupree and Chicalio both of whom I would rather have than gregory.

The problem with the defense overall is we have all depth guys and no stars, no playmakers. Hayward is close, Timmons is good but he's not an impact player.

If this defense is going to improve. We need at least 1 pass rusher to emerge as a guy who needs double teams and at least 1 DB who produces turnovers.

Well im sayin its not impossible that the next Donnie Shell is on the Roster. The Next James Harrison. Maybe the light comes on for Cortez Allen this year. Big Dan COMMANDS a double team. I like our chances, although I think we WILL sign another Corner during Camp,,

Shlit bermudasteel, for some here the falling sky is the norm. Time will tell on Uncle Jarvis and he best be stepping up. He may not have a job, if he doesn't.
