James Connor is Leading the League!

Is it too early to ask, which former Steeler running back does Conner remind you of?

I see a guy who hits the hole with decent speed, follows his blockers very well, can run through arm tackles, moves around a bit in the open field and catch the ball well.

Our all time rushing list:

Franco Harris
Jerome Bettis
Willie Parker
Le'Veon Bell
John Henry Johnson
Frank Pollard
Dick Hoak
Barry Foster
Rocky Bleier
Rashard Mendenhall
Walter Abercrombie
Fran Rogel
Merril Hoge
John Fuqua

Franco light? you got me not sure..

Mendenhall was good but was never the same after the hit by Ray Lewis. That got him thinking even back then that he didn't want to be the NFL that long or get that hurt. Hard to be a great running back if you are counting down the days until retirement.

Mendenhall was a mid tier back at best. We beat the packers in the superbowl without his fumble.
Conner is a great story, but he's started 1 nfl game and had 2 season ending mcls. One in College and 1 last year. Maybe thats not injury prone for some of you, for me it is.
You act like it was all Mendenhall's fault, dude was hit as soon he got the ball in the back field.

He was soft. And Ray made that hit after Spin-and-Fall ran his mouth, and the hit was perfectly legal. Ray was just that much a bad @ss. The more I watched Mendy play, the less I liked him. Players still n the board when we took RM: Chris Johnson, Matt Forte, Duane Brown, Jordy Nelson, Desean Jackson, Tracy Porter, etc. The RM pick was terrible.
