All the stories about team chemistry being great. And there literally has been a minimum of one per day (usually more) for the last many weeks. But it does beg two questions.
1. Was it really that bad or was this manufactured because Bell wanted a new contract and Brown spent all his converted guarenteed money and was going to get relatively peanuts in his pocket moving forward.
2. Was it really that bad and if so why did it take this long and have all that embarrassment to address the problem.

It has been said, "winning masks everything." Last year they didn't win much and all the toxic bullshit came to a head.

Bell apparently telling the team he was going to show up and then back-tracking, members of the offensive line actually calling him out on the money he makes compared to them, Brown getting TONS of special treatment from the coaches and STILL acting like a giant douche when he didn't get enough passes thrown at him or if somebody else had a better game, Ben apparently being just a bit aloof and folks clearly understanding he is "the man".

I expect there was a GREAT deal of irritation/animosity bubbling up with the mid and low tier guys who work their ***** off to make the team and win in the trenches while the "beautiful people" ***** and moan about how bad they got it.

They had Greg Warren(the former long snapper) on SNR radio. They asked him about Cowher and Tomlin, and he said Cowher commanded respect, when he walked into a room you knew it. Tomlin was more of a players coach he said, he tried to be friends with all the players. He said not that either approach is wrong. I do think Tomlin means well trying to be friendly with the players, but I think AB took full advantage of that, and didn't respect Tomlin much at all, or anyone else really.

agree. the only one AB respects is himself.

To add to it, it seems to me that a lot of AB's issues last year started about the same time OBJ was getting his contract that exceeded AB. I know this is tinfoil hat on my part, but I just can't help but wonder if AB went back for more money to be above OBJ and was told no so he started acting like a child.

All speculation. What we know for sure is Clown and Meveon are giant douchebags that shouldn't even be thought about much less mentioned anymore. Done talking about these two asshats.

and came to a head when JuJu was named team MVP

I think, because of all of the bad pub, players are making it a point to say things like this.

Yep, just like we don't hear about all the good things 99% of the NFL players do for there Community. But the 1% is all over the TV.

I don't think it was an "across the board" chemistry problem, simply because there are certain players, or positions that simply don't give a **** what the ME ME twins did.
But I'm sure it was a big enough problem among the offensive players who directly worked with the twins.

I just want to see these guys win, and look like they are having fun while doing it!

December 22 is circled on my calendar. The day the Steelers teammates get payback on Bell...

Isn't Gruden suppose to be a no-nonsense head coach? Brown has already showed up to camp in a hot air balloon, went directly to the injured list, and is now limited in practice with this mystery injury. He's also being sued by a trainer for unpaid fees https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.c...s-antonio-brown-for-unpaid-fees-and-expenses/

I don't think the whole team had chemistry issues, but one or two people can change the entire mood of a locker room if they have a bad attitude. It takes the joy out of being there.

And there it is! That there sets the entire tone of a Tomlin coached team. You cannot be a head coach and be their buddy too. Not at all a good way to run a team.
We will not ever hoist another trophy with this fraud as our head coach.

Agree! Even at the little League baseball age. I coach my son's baseball team, there are 2 of us. I'm the "players coach" type and the other guy is the hard ***. He gets much more out of them then I do. Until they piss me off.
