Darnold looks like he separated his shoulder so the Jets are playing Flacco. Unfortunate for Darnold as he was looking solid and had a 46yrd TD run.

I think Darnold has talent, but has nothing to work with in NY. If they move on from him, he could do well in Pittsburgh. He's much better than Mason imo.

Looks like Darnold is back hmmmm......His non-throwing arm was just dangling a bit ago.

I don't know 43Hitman, Mason went through he'll last year so it's hard to judge him on last years play. I'm not saying he is great but I'm willing to hold judgement until we see him in action again........ IN about 2 years after our HOF QB brings home 7 & 8.

was listening to NFL radio the other day - jets fan called in wanted to get rid of him and draft Lawrence from Clemson if they have the top pick. The conversation was all about this - no talent around Darnold. So, do you trade the overall 1 and get a haul to build around Darnold or draft Lawrence and offer Darnold up in trade.

I just dont get the hype for Lawrence, but I am also not sure Darnold is the answer. Darnold reminds me of Mark Sanchez who did not cut it. The Jets are a mess right now and I dont think it matters who they have though.

stop it. no. mason is not going to get leaps and bounds better from season's abortion of a performance. he will never be anything close to a respectable starter in this league. doesn't matter if he gets 2 years or 12, he is what he is.

Not saying he will become a starter down the road but it isn't like their hasn't been late bloomers at the QB position in the NFL.

That exists at every position.

Did you ever think Nick Foles would achieve the success he has?

I don't have a crystal ball on if that green light will come on for Rudolph, not going to rule him out just yet though.

Guy destroyed big bad Alabama as a freshman for the title, made the title game last year losing to a loaded LSU team, most likely won this year

Yeah he is that good, sorry you don’t see it

yes. foles showed promise very early in his career.

I was primarily thinking about his unlikely SB victory. I will throw out another name. Tannyhill. They had all but written him off and he emerged for Tennessee. Further back Plunkett. And if we combed a list I am sure we could identify more. The point is I think it is a little premature to pigeon hole him a bust which is what you are saying if you think he isn't starter capable...

It was. Sarcasm towards MASON but also saying he is just back up to our HOF QB who will bring in number. 7 & 8 before we see Mason again.

I will hold judgement but also know a lot can happen in two years.

sure he played well against Alabama. Ross averaged 25yrds per catch for over 150 yrds total. LSU he completed less than 50% of his passes and lost a fumble. I was impressed with Burrow and Watson in college. I just don't see that in Lawrence, but I'm certainly not a talent scout so we shall see

Meh.

I’m sure he can still throw up those jump balls.

if we're thinking of him as "starter capable", then yes, he's in bust territory. if we're thinking of him for eventually finding his way to the XFL, then he's fine 'n dandy, i guess.
