It's a lot less stressful watching the Steelers when you KNOW they're not winning sht

Since tonight solidified for me the fact that this core of Steelers is never going to win a Super Bowl, I can just relax and enjoy the rest of the NFL season without any type of emotional investment. I suggest we all take this stance. No sense in getting worked up over this group of jokers

Good for you, the rest of us will continue to be stressed out.

Don't get me wrong slash.. I'm still going to watch every second and root for W's.. I just had high hopes and expectations for this bunch, that I've had for the past several YEARS, that this core would eventually bring us #7 when it all comes together. But what I'm realizing is that this core, as currently constructed, is incapable of putting it all together for longer than maybe one or two games in a season. This mythical "when it all comes together" is a pipe dream that Tomlin is incapable of orchestrating into fruition. So the hopes and expectations I have are SHOT. If it does happen, great.. I'll be there watching all the way. But I'll be damned if I'm going to let them fool me anymore into thinking all this insane talent they flash every week can ever be consistently put together to finish out a season the right way. They just don't have it in them.

Same **** different year.

It is painful to watch for sure.

But this team won't make the changes necessary to rebound.

They will continue to do the same embarrassing *** things.

Sloppy football year after year. We know who ultimately that falls on.

Despite his apologists wacky *** opinions.

Honestly, who do they have for leadership?

Ben? Ya, but somehow he doesn't carry that weight. That authority.
Brown? No.
Watt's too young.
Haden's a transplant.

Seriously? Who are the LEADERS on this team? Basically you've got Ben and nobody else.

Previously they had Ward, and Bettis. There was Farrior on defense, Aaron Smith who wasn't a vocal guy, but a guy who busted *** every single play.

The team doesn't HAVE a leader that they feel like they need to rally around and put forth that kind of herculean effort needed to... Well even get a ******* turnover once or twice would be nice.

Clearly Tomlin is a "buddy". The players love him. He apparently presents "just enough" discipline that they (the players) feel as though he's "tough". But clearly he isn't tough. Ben shouldn't have had to call out AB and Washington, They should have had their ***** ripped after the game in front of the entire team by Tomlin. Grimble should be AFRAID to admit that he screwed up his fumble because he wanted to "truck" the safety.

Ah **** it. The team doesn't have enough leadership. It's a rudderless boat.

Cam Heyward tries to be a leader. He's just not good enough to get that respect. The defense is hard to watch.
What an embarrassment of play in front of those legendary teams at the field tonight.

Doesn't matter what players you plug in. This staff could screw up having Khalil Mack on this roster by putting him out wide to cover WR all night.

Different players won't matter. We aren't winning anything with this coaching staff. Period.

Just drink more. It will be ok.

What's sad is that they played a great game for the 1st half.

The terrible ref calls and the adjustments that the Bolts made at halftime undid them. The Steelers were, as usual, incapable of reacting to game plan changes at halftime. You could see that the Bolts were playing an entirely different defense in the 2nd half... Does Fichtner change things up to take advantage of the linebackers being dropped back? Na. Let Ben hold it back there for 7 seconds and wing it.

Does Butler recognize that the Bolts have changed their blocking scheme? Na. Hold my beer. Watch THIS!

I shut down early in the season and got sucked back in emotionally. I wont again.

We just have to temper our expectations, and hope for some sort of change. Especially on D, and STs.

I can't count how many times this D has given up leads over the last few years. You can just tell when it's coming too. On the go ahead drive, they made a great play on the first snap and then gave up 15 yards on the next play. After that you knew they were going to let them score. Once we tied it up, I looked at my wife and said the D should let them score quick or they're going to lose on a last second FG. In the last forty years it's hard to remember a defense that was so consistently inconsistent.

That’s exactly how I feel Agg. It’s not worth the emotional investment for this team. I’ll certainly pull for them the rest of the way this year but there are now zero expectations on my part. I’m of the opinion that nothing will change until Tomlin is removed and we all know that’s not happening.

Welcome to mediocrity. Thank you Tomlin and staff.
