The Steelers are the only team that hasn't trailed at halftime, this season.

I had to rewind and look to see what they said, because it seems impossible, based upon memory of some ****** 1st Quarters, yet it is true.

Great stat

Remember when the Pittsburgh Steelers used to be ‘bad’ on the road? Well, by the most important barometer, they have been the best road warriors over the course of the past season’s worth of games. Following yesterday’s victory in Baltimore, a place that has been tough for them to win historically, they have now posted a record of 14-1-1 in games away from Heinz Field in their last 16, dating back to the 2016 season.

Yea, this thread kills a ton of Tomlin hater narratives...

Hell, even the last Steelers road loss you couldn't blame the Steelers because it was Trumps fault. The streak could have been longer if Trump had shut his mouth!

From the article:

The actual loss? You would have to go all the way back to Week Three of the 2017 season against the Chicago Bears, a game in which many players admitted that they were distracted by off-field issues regarding the President’s comments about football players

It's a lame excuse and this rationale needs to stay in the political forum.

Trump didn't block their FG attempt at the end of the half...

The record my have gotten better but the last few years, the steelers have played poorly on the road.

Here’s last year’s road games

0-16 cleveland W 21-18
5-11 Chicago L 17-23
9-7 Baltimore W 26-9
10-6 Kansas City W 19-13
9-7 Detroit W 20-15
4-12 Indianapolis W 20-17
7-9 Cincinnati W 23-20
4-12 Houston W 34-6

here’s this year so far
2-6-1 Cleveland Tie 21-21
3-5 Tampa Bay W 30-27
5-3 Cincinnati W 28-21
4-5 Baltimore 23-16

That’s a lot of close games vs bad teams. The last 2 games vs Cincy and Balt were solid wins so maybe it is finally turning around. I think it’s because Fictner is better than Haley. The redzone offense is much better. Also, the defense is getting better.

Now if they can improve on that home record we’ll be golden. Already lost two at home this season they should have won. Same **** last year with losing two at home plus a playoff game at home.

Interesting stat:

Despite not trailing at halftime of any game this season, the Steelers were not ahead by the end of 3 of those 8 contests.

Interesting(and much more important) fact:

The last time the Steelers haven't trailed at the end of their last playoff game was February 1st, 2009.

Tomlin has actually been engaging more in the actual games. He even gets animated at times. I think if all team / coaching / FO / hold outs all combine and put egos aside this team can win it all. I see the players / coaches being more team first oriented and Antonio Brown is a good example. Upon Bell's return he needs to show that completely and this team will win it all. NOT that thius can't happen with out Bell but with him it would be easier in many different ways, just don't inter up what's happening on the field this far along in the season.

Salute the nation

Nah, if the Steelers win in the playoffs, it will be because they got a favorable matchup...

Might be tough -- Matt Moore is out of the league, AJ McCarron is a backup with the Raiders, and Alex Smith is in the NFC.

Of course, the Steelers also had favorable matchups against Blake Bortles and Tim Tebow, yet managed to lose both of those games as 7- and 8-point favorites.
