I know they put an ILBer on the PS but with Bush put on IR why not add an ILBer to the roster?

There is rotation possibilities currently on the roster, but they are down one and Spillane is a large unknown.

What is yinz take on this ?

You replace a ILBer with a DE basically.

Are they eyeing a trade?

I was just mulling over scenarios .....

Bush IR makes room for 1 more on the 53. Gilbert is already on the 53, but for example didn't get a hat last week. Not sure if he has in the other games or not. He gets a hat on Sunday and I guess Mondeaux is the next in line for being on the 53. I agree this may not be the last move. A lot will depend on Sunday. The trade deadliner is Tuesday November 3rd. That gives them two looks at Spillane before they have to move or not. If he is bad this weekend, I look for a move next week. If he is ok and then exposed by the Ravens, it will come at the deadline. If he holds up against those two teams, why make a move.

Yeah basically the dude was on the protected list the whole year... it’s obvious they really like him and probably will eventually add an ilb later be it practice squad or roster, but they didn’t need one asap since ulysses was already taking a healthy scratch spot on the roster...

It means the Steelers are going to go with 6 active DLs this week to fight Henry. We've been at 5 all year, so we are expecting a heavy rotation to keep them fresh. It also means Carlos Davis will not play again, otherwise why call up a DL you aren't going to use?

didnt see buggs or wormsley havent seen bugs since the sept was active in nickel sets now its just tuitt tyson and heyward and if 1 needa breather tj goes to 2 pt and high smith comes at olb saw bud blitzing at times from the mlb spot, would like to gilbert in coverage or play edmunds as coverage mlb and dangerfield or allen as the SS in the dime

Outside of the flag, I liked what I saw out of Mondeaux. As A FB, he was a hit. As a DL Lineman, the guy his a big time motor and seems to play the game hard.

I saw him take himself out of a run play as well - pinched a little bit. Still, pleased overall. Filling in at FB was beautiful. Betting that is why they protected him - they knew he was the backup FB. I saw him on ST as well.

Womley offers little value. Buggs is seldom used. Mondeaux could be a better DL Player, maybe the 5th or 6th best DL on the team. We'll need to see more.

i would have to see more of Henry. Buggs, I think, has a voice in the coaching room on his side. He played for the DL coach at Bama.

what part is really? that those two were not going to play FB or that making the other two inactive says they think HM is better then Davis or Buggs? By your logic, the coaches showed their belief that HM was not the better DL since he has been on PS all year.

Titans are a run heavy team. They wanted more run stuffing on a DL rotation. That's why Mondeaux was the guy. As for getting a ILB. WHo? Every team in the league wants a coverage LB. There are no coverage LBs siting at home. Any ILB they signed would not be as good as what they already have.

Only way to get a good ILB is if some team goes into tank mode like the Dolphins did when they gave up Minkah. Don't forget though that part of why the dolphins made that deal was they assumed the steelers would suck without Ben and it would be a high pick. This year, any team will assume the any pick from the steelers will be a low pick. Will make it tougher to get a good player

Liked his blocking at goal line.....not much else,,,

Kid seems to be athletic though...
Maybe convert him an O-Lineman in the off season?

Mondeaux is one massive dude and he's added some serious muscle since he joined this team 2 years ago. He could end up pushing past Buggs & Wormley at some point this season. He's a guy to keep and eye on. Sorta the Zach Banner of the DL.

Dont be surprised if he becomes the Zach Banner if the O-Line...

Mondeaux flashed today. Pretty impressive that he got snaps in all 3 phases, when he wasn't even rostered 6 weeks into this season! If Wormley is hurt, expect Mondeaux to be rostered.

Steelers may have to make a choice on Buggs and Carlos soon.

I was a little surprised how they used him. We face another running team in their house perhaps he gets another look Sunday.
