Cleveland had a good game plan on defense. Safeties very deep down the field took away the big play. Then, they loaded up the box and killed the run. Hope better teams don't follow that blue print or it could be a really long year.

Week 1, things are always a bit off, for many teams. It's a win vs a div' opponent. Hey, could be the Bengals! THAT is something to worry about. At least the Steelers can and will play better. You score ZILCH at home after a ****** year w/everyone healthy? Wow...

Ben needs to take what they give him. At first they were stacking the box and leaving some spaces open but Ben wasn't in sync

Bell looks like a 3rd string back up RB. His dancing and tIp toe crap is awful.

He really doesn't plat that well in Cleveland. I heard the fantasy guys saying that he was a smart scratch this week because of his record in that toilet bowl.

Not everyone has their front 7. Bell will be back to the old Bell by the first week of Oct., then watch out. It will help if McDonald gets his game together as well, this was the perfect game for a TE with route skills....James is NOT that guy.

give me a jesse james on the red zone every day and twice on sunday

I am trying to figure out why giving Cleveland's D some credit is so hard. They had a good plan that made the Steelers offense look average at best. Sure, you could say that the Steelers played a rotten game, and that is true. I just think Cleveland had a lot to do with that.

I would give them credit if this wasn't the case in damn near every road game, and every heavily-favored game. This was as easily predicted of an outcome as any ever. This is what we do

yes they have a nice D upfront, Peppers will be good

He is rusty and yes he should have shown up earlier in camp but he didn't. Give him a couple weeks and your view will change.

Took me a second to figure out PLAT.............. Ben Rothlesberger is the winningest QB in Cleveland played games. Yes that's right, since they were reinstated in 1999 Ben has won more games in Cleveland than any other QB, including all the Cleveland QBs in that time frame.

I think you did get him........TWICE on Sunday..................

Along with some "salt & pepper" officiating along the way.

Salute the nation

They are younger, faster, and have a lot of players that can play the pass and run at the same time without worrying as much about switching packages. You will see them stymie more teams than us this season. I will call that now.

James is alright but he is not that great of a route runner. The Browns were so scared of Bryant and Brown they had their safeties deep most of the day, if James was that good he would have seen a lot more seam passes his way today.

McDonald is a better route runner, the knock on him of course is his catching inconsistency. We''ll see.

Somebody please make a meme of Ben Roethlisberger as Cleveland's First Energy Stadium's all time winningest Quarterback!

That is ******* epic!

And just for grins, their offense outscored our high powered super star offense 18-14.

I do miss having a go-to tight end. Heath Miller would have dominated the middle of the field on a day like today. Still, James made the plays that went his way today, including one very tough touchdown catch.

Game plan good but I would say poor execution at first and penalties kept the game close. I think the Steelers can easily address that defense just by calling better plays. Haley loves to script and it killed us in the beginning. Hopefully he scripts some better plays early next week.
