Apparently this team has a designated kick returner. Dri Archer cannot play running back, slot receiver, punt returner. He is a designated kick returner and taking a roster spot. I will do it for league minimum. I will field the ball in the end zone and give up the touch back which is what the returner should be doing anyway. The stubbornness of the FO on some of these guys is beyond ridiculous.

Great Stat but 9 out of 10 kicks shouldn't even be returned. So what are you getting there.

Waste of a roster spot. Terrible draft pick for a third rounder. I'd rather utilize Williams and Todman out of the backfield catching the ball and let this midget get on with his life's work.

Minor beef, but in an ideal world returning it from the -5 to the 17 shouldn't be counted as a 22 yard kick return...it should be a -3yard return. Like just knee it that deep.

:)

Kid reminds me a lot of Brandon Banks, another guy that loved to fall short of the 20.

Perhaps 2 or 3 out of 10 would need returning, but it isn't like you couldn't put someone on the roster to bring them out. If he was scoring or setting up the offense on the other side of mid field.

Why the hell don't they let Boykin return kicks?

I thought this was Tomlin's big deal going into training camp. Archer bring what to this team? He is not the return man Tomlin had vision of or the back or slot receiver, So he does what for this team but give us something to talk about.

I am applying for a DB position, I may be 42 years old with a bad back....but at least I can touch Gronk. Heck I may even attempt to cover him. League minimum of course.

**** that. If Cortez is getting $26m or whatever, I want at least $4-5m

HOPEFULLY, when Bell returns, Todman will be our KR and 3rd RB in the rotation. If Archer can't show anything while the new kid learns the playbook...it is over.

Tyler Lockett scores on first punt return. Believe he scored twice in Pre season and he plays in three receiver sets. Now that is a pick.

Lol. Throw in a Raven patented cheap shot. Get cut by the steelers and I'm sure Hairball would offer you a contract for more than minimum.

That's what I don't get. The guy is never on the field.

And I'm applying for time outs coach. I'll be happy to be the lowest paid coach on the team. I promise to do a better job than Tomlin. Mr. Rooney, what do you say? :)

Well if you don't get it here for the Steelers there is also an opening in NY for the Giants and Seattle about when to go for an onsides kick.
