If Fuller and Apple are both out there for pick #25 overall

Who do you prefer?

The way I see it, Fuller has a bit more experience and NFL bloodlines meaning he's more NFL ready. Apple has better upside

I think it would be a nice problem to have!

I trade back because I think neither player is worth the 25th pick (hyped up draft boards simply because they're CBs), but if I trade down and one or both are still there then maybe. This draft class has 2 top 30 CB (Ramsey & Hargreaves) and the possible 3rd is MacKensie Alexander, after that I wouldn't be comfortable taking either at 25 honestly.

Both men have height, weight, and ball skills. Such as trifecta is desirable. Sure they need some work, but that's what coaches are for.

Our strategy of short, light, and not that fast corners isn't working out. Essentially that strategy gets you a lot of slot guys, not guys who can play cover 3 or man. Or players who are strong in the red zone and on the sildlines.

Where Fuller and Apple go depends on how they work out. sub 4.5 40 and sub 4.3 20 yard shuttle for both, and I see round one.

I'd take either but probably Apple over Fuller. My guess is the Steelers will pick neither even if both are sitting there at 25. They never seem to be on the same page as what we the fans think.

Giving up 5-7 yard competitions by design, getting burned, and missing tackles by the corners is no way to win a championship.

Rooney himself said we made some mistakes at CB. This signals an internal change of thinking...I hope.

The Steelers have loved OSU players lately.

If Ramon Foster isn't brought back, I take the highest rated guard at pick 1.25. Let your heads explode thinking about that.

If Gay leaves via free agency, would you still want a guard in round one?

We can hope. I'd love to get a corner and a safety in the first 2 rounds.

As long as they resign Boykin I go guard anyways if Foster departs and a top G is there.

I'd be fine with Gay/Cockrell/Golson and a 1st-3rd rounder, Boykin/Gay/Cockrell/Golson and a body for competition or Boykin/Cockrell/Golson and a 1st-3rd rounder. As long as we bring at least 1 of Gay/Boykin and add a 1st-3rd or bring back both and add a taller FA corner I think we're ok there. Addition through the subtraction of Blake.

What we really need is a playmaker at S and more pass rush as long as we bring back at least Gay or Boykin.

I think we go BPA in the first round this year. With Golson and Cockrell coming back and hopefully resigning Boykin and Gay, I'd be willing to bet the front office isn't specifically prioritizing corner in the 1st round. Tbh I'd rather we draft a safety. We have nothing opposite Mitchell. It may be interesting to try out Grant and see how he picks it up

Granted, if we let at least one of Boykin and/or Gay go, we are in trouble and need help immediately.

My sentiments exactly.

We have a lot of young CB's (potentially) on the roster at the moment. Let them battle it out -- iron sharpens iron . Maybe one of these young guys can make a big jump.

The cupboard for Safety, on the other hand, is BARE.

Apple is a little handsy in coverage, if I had to choose it would be Fuller.

At 25 I am sure there is better value sitting there, so I am picking neither in 1.

Apple is so raw that he should change his name to "Seed." No way he is worth a 1st round pick. He is 2 years away from being able to start at CB in the NFL, at which point he is already halfway through his rookie contract.

He bites on pump fakes, can be beaten deep, and was beaten like a mule by Notre Dame's Will Fuller in the Fiesta Bowl.

Apple at 25? No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.

If either is the BPA when we pick thats fine, but i don't think that will be the case. Im liking the FS from Boise St. Darian Thompson pre combine. Move Mitchell to SS if the kid gets the playbook right away. I think there are other options at CB a round or two later that are just as talented as Apple or Fuller. William Jackson is one. I REALLY like Cyrus Jones from 'bama. He might be a little raw but he could instantly take over return duties for AB.

I don't like either at 1.25...

Now, IF Robert Nkemdiche or Jarran Reid is there - BINGO!!! I'm all in.

If Foster isn't brought back I grab the top guard at 1.25. We need to get the most out of our biggest asset before his career is done. Protecting Ben is our #1 priority.
