I was listening to ESPN this morning and they were bantering Ian Books name with Lawrence and Fields. I guess he could gain some traction in the ACC game and any playoff/ bowl. I gotta be honest, I'm not buying. I'm a longtime Irish fan and I like the kid, but the list of failed Irish QB's in the last 20 years is pretty damn long. He certainly isn't prototypical size. Good college QB. NFL.......Meh.

no. there's a guy I'd like to see us take, but have chosen to not say his name. I can give you one hint.
bermudasteel would pull the head off if we took this guy.

As a fellow Irish fan...Im with you..

Great college QB...career back-up in the pro's if he chooses to do so...
He might just use the Notre Dame education/degree and move into the workforce..

Although his next move is to raise the College Football Championship Trophy I hope...

Ian Book? Good college QB, maybe a decent NFL backup.

You're looking at Lawrence, Fields, and Wilson as the top guys. I'm not sure what to make of Lance.

Trask and Jones are at that next level.

BTW---I think Trask is right up there with Lawrence.

Yeah, saw him light up a good Georgia defense and wondered where he winds up being taken. Big kid, good arm, accurate, can stand in the pocket despite pressure, moves around pretty well for a guy his size.

No, No, No - you can't project how these quarterbacks are going to turn out in the NFL until you know their Wonderlic scores.

I hope he winds up being taken by us...

Lots of QB talent in college football this year...Someone might just drop enough to us to get a "true" replacement for Ben in the 2021 draft.

Book is 20-3 as the Notre Dame starter. He has good arm strength and has fantastic mobility. He has gotten better every year and improved every game this year. I see him having success in the NFL with a run-heavy team who uses RPO. He is a great kid and provided solid leadership for the Irish thus far.

Meh i figure they extend Ben two years and hope Trask doesn’t climb out of the second round... give hime two or tgree seasons to learn under Ben...

But we all know thecPats will grab whatever qb we want before we do....
