Tomlin's comment about "saving timeouts for the offense" is Exhibits "A" through "Z" as to why he needs to go. Frankly, this is becoming too easy regarding Tomlin's idiocy and ineptitude as an NFL head coach:

• If saving timeouts is important, how about working on NOT ******* BLOWING TIMEOUTS BECAUSE THE WRONG PERSONNEL ARE ON THE FIELD, TIME AFTER TIME AFTER TIME AFTER TIME AFTER TIME AFTER TIME AFTER TIME AFTER TIME AFTER TIME?!?!?!?
• Hey, Mike, did you know that the only way the defense can stop the clock is by calling a timeout? No, that's news to you, right?
• And hey, Mike, did you know the offense can stop the clock two different ways without the benefit of a timeout - go out of bounds or throw an incompletion?? Nope, news to you yet again, I wager.

Any NFL coach who risks falling behind by 3 and with the clock under 2 minutes, and who has 2 timeouts, and who does not use those timeouts to STOP THE CLOCK is not competent enough to keep his job.

Seriously, it is the equivalent of running over a pedestrian during a driving test. Sorry, no license for you - unless ARII is giving the test, I guess.

Maybe not wasting timeouts on replay reviews a 4 year old can see are unwinnable would save a time-out or 2 most games is a start too....

Given some of the stupidity Tomlin has exhibited, I would not be shocked to learn Tomlin was unaware that an unsuccessful challenge means the loss of a timeout.

Being with a great team and having a HOF QB masked his many many many inadequecies and the Steelers knew this when they hired him. What head coach takes a job and has the GM and front office tell him who his OC and DC coordinators will be and continue to do this for the first 8 or so years into his tenure? They knew he was a lightweight but wanted him to succeed even though he was not qualified for the job. He is what he is a figurehead who is not smart enough to lead or win on his own merit but a bullshitter who talks tough but has no idea what to do when he fails and goes back to work in his "lab."

This is a top secret picture of his lab and coincidently the only job he is qualified to hold.

Tomlins game day duties by his own words are pretty simple. Make the call when to challenge, when to punt, when to go for it on 4th, run a trick play, and when to call a ******* time out!
I could do those duties to near perfection for a shitload less money!
