All I know is I am moving Bettis to Fullback & Franco will be the Running Back. 2 Back Set....ALL GAME

Greatest player was Mean Joe Greene hands down.

Greatest team was IMO 75 Steelers although some will argue 76 was the most dominating defense.

That 75 Steelers team overcame significant turnovers to win it all. Usually that will kill you everytime, and you have to be damn good to overcome them.

That would be the most individually talented team, but with only Heath to throw the ball to, only Mean Joe on the D Line, and just Lambert back in coverage, they would have problems. Even Noll isn't that good.

Jack Ham, Andy Russell absolutely best outside LBers . Mike Webster- Center, Alan Fanaca -Guard, Moon Mullins - Guard, Jerome Bettie and Franco Harris-RB, Receivers- Hines Ward, John Stallworth, Lynn Swan and Luis Lipps. CB - Rod Woodson and Mel Blount. Safety - Troy Poly and Donnie Shell.
I’ll add more too.

I liked Webster but no way was he the best center. Dirt would get that call.

Yeah Dermonti was a great player no doubt about it and like Webster, both well deserved HOF players.I’m partial to Webster who was the glue of those 70’s lines with Moon Mullins, Jim Clack, Ray Pinney, Jon Kolb, Sam Davis.

TOTALLY AGREE, Dirt could ******* move and move mountains to boot. Webby was dang good, don't get me wrong but he couldn't pull like Dawson. DAWSON redefined the center position, hands down.

PS, I don't care if you want to list teams or players and they just have to be good ones from the steelers...........

Short timer but Hardy Nickerson was pretty dang good, NOT in same league as some of our greats due to his short timer status but good none the less.

A prime Joey Porter (player NOT coach)

Levon Kirkland big but exceptionally fast, for a short while.

Before the fiasco I'd have put Brown at wr with Ward. Now Stallworth, Ward and Swann. Miller at TE, Ben and Franco/ Bettis. Franco and Bettis is probably the toughest. Franco has the team success but Bettis was one of the most dominant but terribly used backs of all time. Oline: Webster, Faneca, Decastro. Tackles would have to be from 70's team. Big Al is as close to a great tackle as we have had with Ben. Marvel Smith was decent.

I think for a period of time he was one of the most dominant and unheralded defenders in the league. He could cover backs and TE and when he hit you could see a ripple go down his back like a grizzly bear. Tough man.

Kordell in his "slash" role

80+ yards TD pass
80+ yards TD run
80+ yards punt

How's those sweet potato's ????

He was the best ever in the "slash" role
