I feel like blocking a guy coming right up the middle ought to be football 101 for the coaching staff... seriously move a guard a foot closer to the center... it wasn’t like he was hurdling them straight up... it was a shift and hitting a gap more or less.... i’juts...

I haven't seen a lot of film on an athletic guy jumping the A gap from lining up on the guard, but Crawford absolutely murdered us on kick block.

Protect the inside gap. Football 101. The cowboys overloaded our left side.. Crawford HAD to be over the guard, (not center. ) so why didnt the guard protect his inside gap first? Especially after the first how many times crawford shot it by jumping. The technique seems to be stand your ground and stay low. Because thats what the guards did here, and try to take up both gaps. Danny smith should have someone in the booth in his ear telling him whats going on. Doesnt seem he made adjustments. I DONT KNOW.

But if I am the guard im looking for him to leap the 1 gap first. I guess we will see this sunday if adjustments were made. I dont blame canaday one bit,,, im looking at the guards and Danny Smith.
