Signed one year contract with Steelers. I received message from Steelers AT&T. Good move.

3 receptions, 33 yards............im not enthused at all .............

wtf?

you've got to be kidding

Should be a good cheap signing. Know's the offense and can play ST.

While 3 for 33 isn't very impressive I don't imagine after our top three there are going to be a lot of receptions left.

Pretty dumb to argue against the signing when its obvious he wasn't signed to play WR. He was an ace on special teams. That's why he's back.

He's a veteran player who can provide some quality snaps. He can make that occasional splash play because he is football capable. He's fortified to be the next man up and when his ticket is punched.

Darrius Heyward Bey Re-signing One Year Extension

Darrius has been re-signed to a ONE year with the Steelers for KR and Special Teams play. He had done a great job last year and The Steelers have faith he can be even better with ball control. Thoughts?

And here I thought Colbert said they already blew their wad in free agency. He was just hiding this mega deal!

Dog, that's exactly why he was re-signed. Special teams play was very good last year.

Special teams player, can play WR (not just pretend to play), great work ethic, awesome attitude, excellent teammate... what's not to like about this signing?

He played on team last year, did well on ST, can fill in at WR as needed, was a former high draft pick, occupies a roster spot somewhere between 40-53...what is wrong with this signing?

An injury to a couple Wrs early in the season and having a veteran already schooled up would be a luxury.

Signed for the veteran minimum...nothing wrong with that, at all --- it's not like we are going to invest a high draft pick on a WR, we'll probably take a flier in the 6th or 7th round.

Useless signing can't catch denarius Moore would have been better

The people complaining about his receiving ability is down right idiotic. The guy wasn't signed to be a damn wide receiver. He had 3 catches for a reason last year. He was signed to play SPECIAL TEAMS.
For the first time in years we could actually stop teams from returning all over us
He was part of the solution along with Golden

I am fine with this signing as long as it is for special teams and not wr. We are set with our top 3 Brown, Bryant and Wheaton and I expect us to draft a guy since this draft is fairly deep. With these 3 and a draft pick I don't see DHB getting much time at wr this and if he does it won't be much so a nice cheap special teams options.

I don't know why people are even concerned about DHB. Of course we are fine with our top 3, but after that we had NOTHING. The HIGHEST DHB will be on the depth chart is 4th, gonna be real hard to replace Lance Moores numbers there isn't it?
