So, basically the Steeler's offense started slow, then seemed to wake up and grab some much needed points before half. Then with some time left in the 1st half the Steelers were about to get the ball with 2 timeouts.
Then Minkah got dinged up and the officials called an injury timeout on the Steelers. Ok. I get it.
However, in the 2nd half the WTFs had defensive players on 2 occasions get dinged up and the game had to be halted shortly while those guys could be helped off the field. However no time out was charged to the WTFs. What is the rule on injury timeouts and why did the Steelers have to burn one while the WTFs didn't? I assume it has something to do with game clock.
I thought as the game was going that losing that timeout may have been the primary reason the Steelers went into full turtle mode. They were pinned deep and with only 1 timeout perhaps they didn't believe they could get downfield far enough for a FG attempt, particularly with a new kicker.
Anyway, from that point on the offense was pretty much out to lunch.
