..........James Harrison is a true beast of an athlete. He is as strong as a.......well... Silverback. Thus his nickname. ONE small problem, "old legs". He definately isn't as fast as he use to be. Couple that with the general holding of him continously, by OL, I see a 6.5 sack total. There are a LOT of maybe(s) and if(s) involved. But this is the number.
..........Mr Heyward is a fine and true threat. He is on the D'line of a 3 / 4 defense, which equates to low sack numbers. He is healthy, in shape, and ready to become a face of the DL. That being said, I looking at 4.5 sack total.

OBVIOUSLY, I hope both excceed these numbers, but currently right now, this ios what I see. TC may change these thoughts a little and only time will tell. Hats off to these two and here's to 25+ sacks each.

I'll take the under (WAY under for Heyward) for both. As bad *** as James is, I think your prediction is a little high. Also, look at the defense he has around him. Not exactly our team's strength, to put it lightly.

You may be right as to my "higher" totals for each, BUT, this time of year we are all oppurtunistic. I'll take it

OK... I reserve the right to extend and modify my remarks.

That said... I think Harrison gets 8 sacks and Heyward gets another 8.

.

I am thinking.............

4 for Harrison in a limited role
4 for Heyward being on the DL in a OLB sack friendly scheme

I think 4-5 for heyward is a good number however this is almost impossible to guess. We dont know how butler will use the DEs and we also do not know how much they will really limit harrisons playing time. I see him being on the field more than they are saying, but we shall see. I think he could get 7 sacks with enough playing time.

I went a little higher on Harrison, as he says his back is good to go. He says he is rested and healed. Maybe the refs don't call the holding like they use to. Maybe he jams t*mmy b*y face first into the ground. But 6.5 could be very real.

as long as deebo can get 5 and overtakes gildon, I will be as the franchise all time leader, lebeau used heyward a lot as a dt in the 2-4-5 as the NG where he was often to quick for several rg's and c's lets see how butler uses nickel and dime uses him. I see 6 sacks for heyward, if we see dupree at times as a re and rotate a 4-3-4 as a nickel package i can see at times like this
RE Dupree
NG Heyward/mccullers
3 t Tuitt/mcclendon
le geathers/ heyward
rolb shazier/drops back
mlb timmons
lolb spence
cb c.allen
cb gay
s mitchell
s thomas/lb

You guys / gals, are forgetting something. When DEEBO finally unloads his "crotch rocket", he wont be worried about up keep on it. That will allow him to fully focus on football. 6.5 here HE come...........

If James only gets 25 snaps a game, as they have said he would, I would take 6.5 sacks in a heartbeat. That means whoever he is splitting time with is getting sacks also.

Heyward, being on the line of a 3-4, shouldn't get many sacks. If he gets 5, that would be very good and I would take it.

Consistent pressure is what this team needs. Sack totals will be nice but if we can get to the QB and hit him on a consistent basis, that will be very key.
