....but this should be his last year.

It's not from lack of effort or desire (have you seen his insane workouts?) but he reminds me of the guy on the football team that rules the weight room, but not much else.

I am not knocking free weights for players; if anything this team needs more of that.

But, at this point, James is super weightlifting strong, but can barely move, due to age and being too bulky. He still supplies some nasty hits out there, but, overall, he is more limited than productive. We will miss his nasty 'tude, but, father time wins all battles and, nasty or not, we probably need to move on.

I wanted his swan song to be another ring, but storybook endings don't happen very often (as it did for Bettis and Ray Lewis).

Anyhow, thank you James Harrison for your effort over the years. Your career was shortened due to being a late bloomer, but in your prime, I know of almost no better OLB to ever play the game. It is a short list. (LT, Derrick Thomas...)

As Stephen A Smith might say, "James Harrison is a baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaddddddddddddd man."

Yeah it's a shame. We have no one to rush the passer with consistent effectiveness. It doesn't help that we only rush 4 (maybe 5 occasionally at most) against a QB who is god awful under pressure and has been with his team for less weeks than decades I've been alive.

You weren't saying that when he had three sacks in one quarter.

James has **** on the rest of our OLBs this season while pushing 40.

That is about the only moment he has had this year. He is just a guy out there and they can keep him around for the leadership or they can move on for a younger, more athletic player. I like him and wouldn't mind seeing him back, but quite frankly, they need a complete overhaul at the position outside of Dupree, who will hopefully develop.
