PITTSBURGH is at #2 with 24 members of the HOF where as Green Bay is #1 with 26



WHAT about the greatest team ever, the cheatriots..... well they have 5 and NONE from their dynasty teams except 1 who retired in 2004 so not quite dynasty,...Errr ahh cheatriotsty

I was only commenting on the Packers, but yeah CHI should show the most. I thought we past upped NYG a few inductees ago. They have 21-22?

The numbers are different site to site because some are counting every HOF person for every team they ever played on and some are counting primary teams for each HOF player...

So for instance, Franco was a primary HOF for the Steelers... he also played in Seattle... seattle gets credit for him on the HOF site, but not the sites that only look at him as a Steeler

Len Dawson was a HOF QB drafted by us who played his first few years here, but he is in the HOF for what he did elsewhere so he isn’t a primary steeler HOFer

Look at the jets list On the PFHOF site... the bolds are tge primary guys... they have a ton of brett favre types that just collected a paycheck there for a year or two... its not the same

There is a reason to distinguish primary contributors from just being employed for some time for a franchise.... ie: We have Bell, who made it as a commish years later... he is a Steelers player in the hof, but not for playing so should he really be counted in our ranks with troy or terry or mean joe?

Now there are non primarys that were major contributors and probably do deserve to get multiple teams credit... like Kevin greene.. his primary was the Rams... but he was key to jumpstarting blitzburgh here....
 
The HOF is slowly stretching into a popularity contest with the voters. Some are not looking at "on" field production and more political pressure voting.

Some here continously bring up the "to many steelers in" mantra and I truely wonder if there is a possibility of this for certain eras of the STEELERS history. Flip side is where are all the dynasty cheatriot players.....??? STEELERS players are in for a reason, they proved good and game changing or BEST at their position.

Just for the record, some sites ONLY list teams the HOF player's main contributions. This having one player getting 4 different claims from various teams seems to be obsurd and maybe the player should be listed as to what team he chose to enter in, just a thought.
