What's your pick?

Jarred Allen 1st year eligibility
Ronde Barber 1st year
Tony Boselli 5th year eligibility
Leroy Butler 2nd year
Alan Faneca 6th year
Torry Holt 2nd year
Calvin Johnson 1st
John Lynch 8th year
Peyton Manning 1st
Clay Mathews 1st
Sam Mills 2nd
Richard Seymore 3rd year
Zach Thomas 2nd year eligibility
Reggie Wayne 2nd year
Charles Woodson 1st year

I'm going with Manning obviously, Woodson get's in second, Seymore, Faneca and Boselli. I think Megatron will wait because of the early retirement, Holt and Wayne can wait, they're great receivers but not deserving for a second year eligibility selection.

Faneca will get in... the votes were split last year but every single voter I’ve heard talk has pretty much said he is deserving and he is next man up... there is a push to put Tony B in, but i think thats a vocal minority... I agree with John Clayton with this... last year it was a crapshoot between Alan and Hutch... they weren’t putting two same era guards in the same class...

Manning will breeze in and I think they put Wayne in with him. With E james going in last year that would put all three of those colts studs in the same induction class due to the corona glitch...

Woodson gets in unless ******** don’t vote for him just to keep him from being a first ballot guy

The last spot will have a hard push for Clay Matthews ... the voters love a narrative and the browns are a narrative this year... its his last year of eligibility, but seymore or Megatron could get this easy

FANECA

Salute the nation

Go Faneca!
But I still think Ward with 1000 receptions 12000 yards and 85 TDs should be in. Plus SB MVP and two rings.

Peyton Manning
Calvin Johnson
Alan Faneca
Charles Woodson
John Lynch

Bill Nunn is a lock as well.

I know a lot don’t like Ward for the Hall of Fame, but no one ever talks about his playoff stats, including good numbers in the Super Bowl (remember he had an injured ankle for SB43). His only chance will be when he goes to the veteran committee.

Also, I think a guy is a Hall of Famer or he isn’t. Vote in the deserving and quit making guys wait 20 years who should be in.

To me its overwhelming Stats- guys like Megatron and TO or amazing stats and championships like Ward. And context has to be part of it. Ward played with a weak cast of QBs for the first half of his career until Ben and then they still were run first for the first several seasons of Ben. And he still had pretty eye popping career stats.

Yea, Nunn is a lock. Agree with pretty much everyone on here, there's definitely a case to be made for Megatron, Lynch etc. But I don't see Mathews as a first ballot inductee.

This is clay Matthews jr not CM 3 we are talking about... he played for the browns in the 80’s... its his last year of eligibility... his son is the guy who is still active

I read that voters will probably not put him in since he'll be virtually a lock next year with the veterans committee.

The voters are media and tge madia loves a narrative... the Browns making the playoffs is a big story... i know there is a hard media push for him because there is some weird thing about getting in regular vs the vet committee for some weird reason...

Don't know wtf I was thinking. When I first saw the list weeks ago, for a second I was thinking how can he be on the list then it dawned on me it was his dad. Did the same thing today. I know allot of people talk about cognitive abilities diminishing once you get old and use it as a valid excuse but that was just stupid.

Ward is next on the agenda... then Harrison...

I never thought Harrison produced over a long enough period of time, but since we changed the measuring stick for Hall of Fame status with guys like Terrell Davis, Harrison should absolutely make it one day.

Deebo is the Steelers all time sack leader. Had one of best defensive plays in SB history. He produced well for the time he played.

You said it yourself. He "produced well." I think HOF standards should be higher than that, but they aren't, so he should get in eventually.

They do look at other things besides stats and games played. I think impact on the game and SB significant contributions factor in. He would check off both boxes or not? Pretty much the same approach the NFL has taken for some time. Swann can identify.

And things that are just larger than life or game-changing. Even among our own fanbase during these arguments half of the posts will omit the fact that he was the greatest blocking WR ever and they literally changed the game because of his blindside blocks.

They changed the rules because of his devastating blocking. What other WR can make that claim?

I don’t think Megatron or Lynch are HOF’ers.

I assumed Johnson would eventually get in but not the first couple years but I'm not smh. Lynch on the other hand I didn't expect and can partially attribute it to the extra credit for his fine job so far as GM. Neither on field or management performance on it's own was enough in my opinion.

Good news for Megatron's selection is it eliminates future WR competition for Ward.
