Weak Four: NFL Still Hasn’t Found the Answer for Empty Seats

EFpnk5tXUAAUsJV

It is Week Four of the NFL’s 100th season, but apparently 100 years is enough for some fans as many teams are still finding it difficult to fill stadiums.
https://www.breitbart.com/sports/2019/09/29/weak-four-nfl-still-hasnt-found-answer-empty-seats/

National Football League executives were stunned Sunday by the sparse fan attendance at the home opening games in Carolina, Miami and Cleveland. It looked pathetic. CNN reasoned that their stadiums were half-empty because fans are protesting that no one has signed Colin Kaepernick.

I am afeared that if my attitude is any example of the fan response to the "new NFL".....we may be seeing a continuing downward spiral of viewers...jus sayin'

I will, however, always watch as many Stiller games as I can but the NFL now...that is a horse of a different color.

Oh yeah and while we are on the subject of apathy...

The last ten plus years of this league are a disaster. They really are out of touch with the average fan (of the past?)

Ha ha

Falcons, Dolphins, Cardinals fans staying away from a **** product on the field?

Maybe they are sending a message to their front offices and owners to fix their ******* teams or we will stay home

Hear that Rooney's?

Rooney's are tone deaf.

If the wheels come off for the Steelers you can bet there will a sea of yellow seats at Heinz. It’s a crappy product the NFL puts on these days and the die hard football fan doesn’t seem too interested. It’s flag football in pads. ******** don’t tackle anymore, can’t touch the QB unless your name is Ben, can’t really level a player, stupid penalties, replay on interference, it’s sucks anymore. Throw in you have a ****** team then why bother.

aside from obvious quality issues, people might be inclined to go if it didn't cost so damn much for tickets, parking, and food/drink. Supply and Demand influence on prices and all that.

The fact of the matter is, the league has created a monster in allowing the cheats to... er, cheat.

Right now, what is the point of watching the season when you know in the end the P*ts are either going to win the SB or lose by 3? Seriously? It's not even a league anymore. It's one team that has to **** up in a huge way for anyone else to even have a chance. And this is the legacy of allowing the P*ts to get away with anything they like for 20+ years.

What Wig said... and the product sucks. It's very watered down American Football. Just too many rules, too much money, too many fuckstick diva *******, too many qb's throwing for 400+yard games. Bucs vs Rams 55-40 and over 1000 ******* yards of offense...i fart in the general direction of the new nfl. It sucks.

My glass is cracked and leaking heavily.

Falcons game had late arrivals because I 75/I 85 is a total cluster bomb due to construction.....there is always construction. But it’s worse nowadays.

Weak Four: NFL Still Hasn’t Found the Answer for Empty Seats

Riiiiight. And that kind of "reasoning" is why no one watches CNN anymore.

Games are too expensive to attend and its a huge time commitment.

I can already tell you tonight's attendance is going to be terrible and that was going to be the case if the Steelers were 3-0 or 0-3. Pittsburgh fans don't show up to night games.

Just walked past the stadium and tailgating is WAAAY down from last year.

Aside from the 10$ beers,Ticket prices......I think a lot of people enjoy watching on the old tube. Weather it be at a bar with friends, with your buddies,or at home. Couple that with finding live streams, you can watch any game. Now of course nothing beats a live game. But it sure helps when your team is winning. If,year after year your team puts out a ****** product as some teams do,it makes it harder for that motivation to get up and go.

Also I think their is starting to be a general backlash at the thought of paying the ridiculous salaries that some of these asshats make. Be it the NFL,NBA,MLB,or any other major sports. Growing up,these guys used to be my heroes, with all the social media nowadays it just can't be the same.

Anybody have any stats on how much the gate pays for players saleries,or is it all Broadcast contracts.

I think the popularity of College Football is also taking a toll. Only so much entertainment dollars to spread around for most families. I'd rather pay to enjoy a college game with folks I went to school with and make a weekend out of it than blow it all on a pair of tickets in the nosebleed section. Add flags being thrown every other play, the bs hype of the NFL, the divas, and the overall Hollywood lifestyle of the NFL, screw the NFL.

It’s a working mans game and the working mans dead... the media.. the players... the prices... no body but gives **** about the working man... just trump and look what they’re doing to him geez can’t believe I just typed that my old dad probably rolling over in his grave lol but it’s true the men who toiled to build this country never asked for much and surely not much was given and what they did have there’s an element in this country that has worked nite and day to destroy it add football to the list. Oh well there’s always soccer I mean girls football.

It costs near an arm and a leg for me to go to a game and I'd get free actual tickets. My Bank deals with Federated Investments there in PITTSBURGH so I get free tickets through my bank / Federated. They are usually great seats or LUXURY BOX type tickets (one time). This day and age and product on the field isn't worth the expense of travel and ****** quality game for me to venture out there. The watchable NFL started deteriorating about 20 years ago coinciding with the cheatriots rise. It culminated more and more the more t*mmyb*y got preferred treatment & r*bertkr*ft 's favoritism. The NFL product has morphed into a near unwatchable product and if NOT FOR A LIFETIME STEELERS FAN, I'd be not watching NFL at all.

Salute the nation

I had to watch the game on replay early this morning and from what it looked like, there were quite a few seats open last nite. If they continue to play better, I'm sure that will improve but it is strange to see all those empty seats in da burgh...for sure.

Oh well, it's a new era now, maybe we are seeing the blossoming of our next dynasty and the confluence will rock it once again.

GO STILLERS

The league says it cares about fans. Same breath wants you to buy resale tickets at unbelievable prices .

if the league truly cared about fans, they'd lower ticket prices by a lot. as stated previously.

the NFL makes more off endorsements and commercial ventures than they do via ticket sales.
if they TRULY cared about the league, and had an eye on the future, they'd make tickets free for children under 12 with an adult purchase (and not raise ticket prices on that adult ticket, but instead lower them).
