They can both be glad I don't own this team. They would land in Pittsburgh with their ******* resumes in hand, because I'd fire both those pricks after today. How the hell do you call a game that poorly, and then, when it's OBVIOUS Ben is calling the plays, we're clicking down the filed scoring nearly at will? I've been behind Tomlin and Haley this whole time, but THIS team, THIS year should be comfortably in the lead in this division. There is simply NO excuse for what I saw today, none, zero.

Maybe once I cool off I'll think differently, but as I see it right now, some serious **** needs to change, and fast.

Joe

Haley wasn't responsible for letting a not ready Ben play.

Haley wasn't responsible for losing to ****** teams at a alarming rate yearly.

Only one person is responsible for that.

With the way this team has played so far this year, the ONLY coach I see earning his ******* check is Butler. The defense has been better than I think it should be with the talent they have on that side of the ball, the offense however, has been worse, far far worse, than it should be with this talent level.

Reminds me of the BA discussion, he left yet the same type of problems yearly.

You could bring in ten different O coordinators, but I am telling you the trends would stay the same.

It is broken at the top............

I have to disagree with this. A lot of high draft picks on this defense and not much improvement.

And it is on record Tomlin has just as much say in that category as Colbert.

So ****** result on the field plus ****** results off the field plus playing down yearly to ****** teams =

let me answer a coach that is holding this team back

I'm just totally pissed. HOW the **** does this team not convert a third down till the fourth quarter? I mean, it makes no sense.

Easy

1. Ben's first game back from an injury.
2. Road opponent below .500.
3. Opponent is the Baltimore Ravens

That's three strikes against the Steelers.

4. A trending head coach that is responsible for 1 thru 3.

**** butler. His *** needed to go weeks ago. Why run the same dicky system without the dick. What has he brought. Nothing.

I don't know why he can't run the same defense he ran last season... at least bring pressure once in a while.

Last season sucked too. Only near the end, they started rounding into form. Players and play calling. But, if this is about coaching and not players, butler sucks ***

Let's just see. We still hold the cards if we pull our heads out of our ***. Last game of season is against the browns. Spin it fwd....let's say that game is a win we are in situation. We take the loss. Does the front office make a move under that. Give Clev their first win and we don't go to the post season again under MT.

So, ...if that came to happen. what do you prefer. Not making the post season or in all likelihood having complete change of coaching in doing so.

This is a different argument if Jones had started and threw 4 picks. Then everyone would whine that Ben should've played. He played, they lost, it sucked. The sun will still rise tomorrow morning.

I agree 100%

That's that Steelers football! huff huff huff, we'll just line up and slam bell up the gut over and over and over cuz we're tuff, huff huff huff

so what if their secondary is weak, we don't need to attack their weakness because we can just line up, play ultra conservative and run 3 TE's like the yinzers want and run the ball up the gut, MEN

huff huff huff

Obviously Ben was ready to go.. he took hits, ran a touchdown in, and moved fine. The doctor's don't let the 100 million dollar QB play if he's still hurt. The play calling sucked dick and thats on Haley.

I disagree to an extent. Ben missed some throws that needed to have that steps into throw. He couldn't do that as well as he should have been able to. I am no doctor or trainer and realize I don't have any stake in financial outcome, but BEN wasn't ready well enough physically. A week from now maybe and yes he will do MUCH better as we will need it.

Bingo. Ive supported Tomlin from the beginning but I'm bailing on him. The absolute lack of any kind of courage in telling Ben "no" is sickening. He talks about not living in his fears but he seems to be a cradle to grave chickenshit.

It's nothing but fear; can't pull Ben because the message that sends to the team. Can't get away from the gameplan before the game is out of hand.

The guy lives in his fears and those fears keep him on the path of mediocrity....it keeps the paychecks coming, I understand. When he is aggressive its done without rhyme or reason.

Sorry but Tomlin must go. The Rooneys are not tied to any magical timeline for keeping coaches either. Art better see the sunshine soon before the place is completely wrecked.

seriously not sure how fans didn't see he wasn't himself. Missing a decent amount of open plays. Not seeing others.

Why is it so far stretched that he wasn't really ready to go?

Think players never get cleared when they aren't really ready?

Those DRs know who butters their bread, so it is often left up to a coaching decision.

And we know whose decision it was to let him play.

I would need to see Ben fully practice Wed Thurs Fri with his track record for trying to get back as early as possble.

I think he is a tough QB, just comes back a little too early often IMO. The stats sure would support that theory.

And as a head coach you monitor trends and change them.

And this head coach

doesn't.

Nail meet hammer. YOU hit it right on the head. Tomlin can't make a ******* true "coaching" decision and has shown that over and over. **** this **** about being a player's coach. Chuck Noll wasn't a player's coach. Name me a TRUE player's coach who actually won consistantly?? UNTIl it is looked at by the top, nothing will change and yes there will continue to be missed opertunity.

Wait, Ben can't step into his throws? Yet he's being bashed in other threads for overthrowing our two fastest WR's 40 yards down field? How's he overthrowing his deep balls if he can't step into it?

fire colbert! We need a to draft a qb next year in the early rounds instead of a crappy linebacker thats too thin. we all know we're most likely toast this year--hope I'm wrong but I'm usually right
