Hail to Pitt

Nice road win, but once again, they'll be good enough to secure an obscure 4th tier bowl, in a cold location that no one will want to attend.

Not to be completely negative, they produce NFL talent every year.

I was excited when they hired Pat Narduzzi but he’s been disappointing to me. I expected better recruitment and consistency on the field but yeah, what we get are mediocre seasons with obscure bowls that no one cares about.

With Pitt you just never know what your going to get. They will get a big win or 2 then lose to a crap team. They have a shot at winning the Coastal which will more than likely set up a championship game against Clemson which could be interesting.

Pitt's arrow seems to be pointing up, if you will, obviously. Pat Narduzzi is coaching like he wants to keep his job. He got an extension from the previous AD but no doubt he's noticed that new AD Heather Lyke has replaced a bunch of other coaches of subpar teams.

Pitt's offense is pretty impressive given they have no threat to throw the ball. The ground game is dominant, but they need to do a better job developing Pickett. For a team that used to always have at least one very talented receiver, Pitt has no true threats at the position right now. Defensively they are slowly moving in the right direction. They just don't have enough athletes on either side of the ball right now to be a consistent team. That all comes down to recruiting and as you look over the roster, it's hard to find many NFL prospects right now, and this is coming from a team that pumps out guys to the NFL, including some of the best in the league. As for this season, they're hanging in there given the season could've imploded. A tough schedule combined with the lack of talent looked like a 2-3 win season and instead, if they don't lose to a terrible UNC team, Pitt would be looking very good right now. You'd like to think they can win two of their final three and finish with a respectable record.

Pitt will always shoot itself in its own foot.
They have a **** ton of football history.
They are a top ten top end nfl talent producer.
They just are perpetually losing to mediocre teams then beating ranked teams...
