Pitt's offense is pretty impressive given they have no threat to throw the ball. The ground game is dominant, but they need to do a better job developing Pickett. For a team that used to always have at least one very talented receiver, Pitt has no true threats at the position right now. Defensively they are slowly moving in the right direction. They just don't have enough athletes on either side of the ball right now to be a consistent team. That all comes down to recruiting and as you look over the roster, it's hard to find many NFL prospects right now, and this is coming from a team that pumps out guys to the NFL, including some of the best in the league. As for this season, they're hanging in there given the season could've imploded. A tough schedule combined with the lack of talent looked like a 2-3 win season and instead, if they don't lose to a terrible UNC team, Pitt would be looking very good right now. You'd like to think they can win two of their final three and finish with a respectable record.
