I guess Bell wasn't crazy with his demands? Steelers are just way out of touch this proves it. Brandin Cooks and Todd Gurley getting paid more than Brown and Bell:der:

Well ****. That sucks

The Steelers weren't out of touch, they offered him 5 years and $70 million. Unless you're LaMarr Woodley or Cortez Allen, you're going to see most if not all of that money even if it isn't "guaranteed."

**** 'em
bring Aaron Donald in next season.

I'm happy to see someone else get paid. Bell doesn't deserve it, he just whines and complains about everything he is entitled to. Let him walk next year, he won't be Pittsburgh's problem anymore.

And this is why I stopped posting during the off-season... Because of flaming hot takes like the one above lol.

Leveon is going to get paid when he hits FA, and I am glad for both him and Gurley. These guys do a ton for their respective teams, so its about time they start earning $$$ commensurate with their production.

Gurley is only 23, with far less miles, injuries and suspensions. Still I think this is a bit much

Gurley > Bell

imagine if we get get Donald he could play anywhere and we could finally have a 4 man front.

I'd take Gurley over Bell any day, especially at his age. The Steelers offered Bell a great contract (not buying the $10 million signing bonus when they offered him a bigger signing bonus last year). Now, let him play out his final year in the Burgh and we will be just fine when he leaves.

Coming off a better season, 3 years younger, and not a weed risk. Good for him. But I see no reason to pay Le'Veon more than that, which is what he wants

I would think there is no way the Rams let him go. He'll be franchised if they have the tag.

This is still below what Bell got offered. Bell wanted to reset the market for RBs. Keep in mind that Gurley is 23 with no suspensions and Bell is 26 going on 27. You don't give a 27 year old running back a long term deal with record money.

Donald is going to get a monster deal from some team, if not the Rams. I can't see the Steelers coming anywhere near the money he's going to get. Nice pipe dream, though.

Gurley is a good, young back. Bell should get a contract similar next year.

Donald will get close to $20M/yr. He doesn't have a fit here unless we trade Tuitt.

I agree. LA will also have to pay Goff, too. No way they can keep Goff, Gurley, Donald, and Cooks under big contracts. One or more will have to walk or take a nice discount to stick around.

The Rams have the cap space because Goff is still on a rookie contract so I can see why they did this. Plus Gurley had a great year averaging 7 yds every time he rushed or received which much heftier than Bell's 4.7 yds a touch and was even behind Hunt (5.4). Bell has his value for sure, but I'd rather see the offense quit forcing so much onto him and be more flexible.

I think Fichtner will bring that. Check the other thread on Fichtner's offense. It's much more about creating open space and taking what the defense gives. Haley's offense was the "our guys are better than your guys" offense which included a lot of forcing to AB and Bell. I think we'll see much less of that this year

If I was Donald with everyone else getting these ridiculous contracts who hasn’t been a Ram nearly as long as him, I would definitely be thinking of signing the tag after the last preseason game, come in and have a monster year and say goodbye to LA. I mean come on, you sign Cooks to a huge multi year deal and he hasn’t even done anything for LA. Donald been solid and dominating since his draft.

now David Jhonson and zeke will want the same as Gurley and bell gets in march, if david jhonson is smart and wants to play 4 a winner he wont be a tool like bell.

Everyone should just accept that the RB market is being adjusted. Everyone saw this coming except the anti-Bell crowd.

Hell, wait till after M.Gordon, Zeke, and D.Johnson hit the market.

Bell has a lot of baggage.

He will get paid, but it won't be from the Steelers.

He better hope he doesn't get hurt before game 10
