Greg Lloyd Arrested

Crap...He's definitely a candidate for someone who has CTE. I'd bet he played through several concussions.
 
He was not quite right when he played so it was just a matter of time.

Loved him as a player though and glad he was a Steeler.
 
I believe this is his second time pointing guns at family members. The other I think was his son some years ago. Yeah has some serious issues.

I met him one time down here in Florida about 10 years ago at an autograph signing. Guy looked like he could still play.
 
I'm not surprised at this at all. Always thought he was an *******. I know I'm in the minority, but was never a fan.

Yeah, he definitely was always an *******. He told me when I was 8 years old to get a ******* life at Rod Woodsons bar while we waiting to get some autographs.

he told an 8-year old that? Classy. Always seemed unhinged and about to lose his **** at any time. I think him and Debo are made from the same cloth.

Man that's screwed up. He was totally cool with me. All I told him was that I really appreciated the way he played the game. He said thank you. Signed my picture which I gave away to my son,shook my hand,took a photo and that was that.

Man that sucks.

It usually works that way. For every bad Ben story I hear, there is a positive one. People have bad days and athletes are no different. He could have been coked up, steroided up or just slept wrong. lol
 
I remember asking a waiter st Woodson’s if he could get me a Lloyd autograph, he said anyone but him
 
I've meet Lloyd when he was an active player at a mall. I was shopping there, he was singing stuff. He's not an approachable type of guy by any means. The conversation was very close to this:

Me: Greg, nice to meet you, big fan

Lloyd : Hey

Me: Will Jason Giildon ( Showing my age ) be ready to start this year?

Lloyd: Makes an angry face and looks ready to do something violent. He'd better F****'n be.
 
I believe this is second time on a gun issue and I think the last one was his kid. Could be CTE, but I think he was a colossal prick all along. I think he is one of those guys without the football skills he is a better candidate for prison than regular life. Most of the interviews of him show a very angry person.

Had a similar encounter with Scottie Pippen
 
Sorry to hear about Lloyd's legal troubles. One of my favorite players. Ever.

Met him in port on the street during the first Steelers cruise. Greg was friendly, accommodating, and not a bit dismissive while posing for pictures with both me (in my forties) and my dad (in his sixties). Completely different from our experience with Plax a few years later, who seemingly couldn't spare the time of day, let alone take a moment to sit for a photo with my father.
 
Iirc when his son was in high school or college, lloyd stuck a pistol in his mouth and threatened him... figured he had mellowed by now, but I guess not
