Do not remortgage him and have to pay him for the season after. Lets see what Tomlin can do with little. Only way you are getting him the **** out of here too. Starve him out. It's been 10 seasons now since the Steelers' last Super Bowl appearance. Four of those have been non-playoff years. Four others, including this year, have been playoff one-and-dones -- and those were following regular season records of 11-5, 12-4 (twice), and 13-3. After starting his postseason career with a 5-1 mark, Tomlin is now 3-7 in his last 10 playoff games.
Maybe at one time, when he was younger and his message was more fresh and relatable, Tomlin was a good coach. Recent postseason results indicate that he's trending in the wrong direction.
I would try to coax Ben toward retirement, hope Tomlin decides to follow, and clean house as soon as possible. This team is going nowhere fast at this stage of their careers, especially with the cap implications of Ben's contract in 2021.

Ben can still play. He just needs a complimentary run game of any kind. I’d like to see Brees, Brady, or Rivers behind this line, no run game whatsoever, and absolutely not creativity and design to the offense.
I will say this, Ben needs to get back to playing under center. We NEED play action and we need the OL down in 3 point stance moving forward off the snap.

Not even close... like not even a thing... what a qb does after 35 has never impacted negatively on a HOF bid... Many of the greats hung on well past their primes
