Great time yesterday and last night at game. Attended with wife, daughter and son-in-law, and tailgated with son-in-law's cousin and her husband. We had amazing seats, Steelers side, 50-yard line, about 5 rows up. The only "issue," such as it was, was the television trolley that sometimes lined up in our line of sight, but no big deal. We could see around it.
The defense was freaking awesome and won the game for us. Yes, Vick threw the TD bomb to Wheaton, and led the game-winning TD drive, but the ONLY reason he could lead a game-winning drive was because of the defense.
The section we were in was basically 95% Steelers fans, running from the 30 yard line on each side and about 25 rows back. The roar during the pick-6 was LOUD. The place was literally moving from the roar and Steeler Nation jumping around during the return. The roar on the winning TD was about as loud.
Son-in-law noticed the time run off during the game, and said, "Why did the clock keep running?" I did not personally notice it but saw the discussion in another thread and can confirm that at least one of us saw that issue.
Lots of fun tailgating before the game. San Diego does not "open the pay parking" until 1:30, or so they say, but basically gave up with hundreds of Steeler fans lined up the road and we got in at about 1:00 p.m. Here is our tailgating crew:
From left-to-right, that's my son-in-law, my daughter, son-in-law's cousin, her husband, Mrs. Steeltime, and me.
Here is a view of us at halftime, just a few rows up from our seats:
Daughter and son-in-law.
Mrs. Steeltime, daughter and me.
Ton of fun. Before the huge Vick scramble, I noticed the LB'ers dropping way off in coverage, and thought that if Vick wanted to run, he could get 20 yards easily.
Steelers Nation represented.
