Another season, another Heart Attack start to the Steelers football season! Nice to see we finally have an offense after 3 seasons without a Franchise QB. This might be only the 2nd time since Big Ben retired that this offense put up 34 points! Aaron Rogers definitely showed up today and in a big way completing 22 of 30 for 244 yds & 4 TD's. These Steelers better find a running game fairly quickly because we can not win with a one dimensional offense in the Post-Season. Steelers scored on their opening drive for the first time since 2023. As for the offense there's one glaring weakness and it's once again Broderick Jones.....the past 2 seasons we always heard he's not good on the right side.......well today he was actually worse than ever protecting Roger's blind side.....giving up 3 sacks!
The Steelers spent $185 Million on their Defense this year and they should be ashamed of themselves! This Defense is absolutely abysmal.....they couldn't stop the run or the pass throughout the game as the Jets moved the football up and down the field the entire game. Keanu Benton was being pushed all over the field most of the game when he was at the NT position. He can't continue to be our NT. The Jets ran for 182 yds from scrimmage running the football. A tough week 1 matchup vs a very good Jets team......I finally feel like the Steelers offense can score at anytime out there....but they've gotta get the running game going moving forward. Today we saw a rookie NFL Head Coach out coach a 19 year NFL Veteran Head Coach! It almost felt like facing Justin Fields was like the first time Tomlin's even seen this guy. He should have been more prepared to face a former player you coached. Aaron Glenn and their OC used all of Fields abilities out there on the field running RPO's, misdirections, and play action passing making Tomlin & Austin look like fools out there with their $185 Million Defense!
A nice start to the season with alot of glaring weaknesses especially our Defense but this team is heading home for a week 2 matchup vs Seattle. Hopefully they can start to stack some wins here!

Chris Boswell - a 60yd FG to take the lead....absolute clutch performance....not to mention another 53 yd FG in the first half!
Jalen Ramsey - Two HUGE plays at the end of the game.....good pass defense and a nice stick to end the game! Almost looked like Glenn Edwards on that last play! That's how you play football!
Ben Skowronek - Kid was a beast on Special Teams.....3 tackles, 1 Fumble Recovery and a rec for a 22yd TD.
Game Goats:
Keanu Benton - This guy was HOT GARBAGE today....he got steam rolled the entire game! Absolutely TERRIBLE!
Mike Tomlin - We won today despite this guy! Most Overrated Head Coach in NFL History! No Gainwell should not be in the backfield on 3rd down especially in an obvious passing situation!
Teryl Austin - Never before has a DC done less with a $185 Million Defense! Can't believe this guy is still our DC!
Broderick Jones - 3 sacks given up today! When are we going to move on from this draft B-U-S-T!
