Ya know I don't think I've ever been four weeks into the season and more disappointed by a Steelers team than I am this season.. So tonight the Defense is average at best but the offense is complete yard trash in the 2nd half and does nothing @ home vs the Ratbirds. Some people here might say I'm being pessimistic with this statement but in all seriousness I'm being realistic! If this Steeler team wins 6 games this season we are going to be lucky. Fundamentally our Defense can't tackle, cover, or pressure the QB and it is a personnel and coaching issue so this won't change anytime soon. The only way the Steelers win a game this season is if our offense is spot on and even then it's a crapshoot. as we saw in Tampa last week. Blame whoever you want to but I don't see many positive things you can hang your helmet on when it comes to this Defense. Bud Dupree & TJ Watt are getting no pressure on the QB.....NONE and that is a must for a 3-4 Defense. ILB's Bostic & Williams IMO are not even starting material in the NFL. On the back end Burns & Sensebaugh are both liabilities. As for our DL.....I don't think you can properly evaluate them because they are always out manned because they only put two of them on the field at a time. It is the job of a 3-4 DL to draw the double team and fill the gaps so the LB's can make the tackle and get the pressure on the QB. When you have only 2 DL rushing the QB any NFL caliber O-line can neutralize their impact. With the troubles on the back end in the secondary the Steelers can't blitz without getting exposed by the deep ball. It's going to take several years to rectify the problems this Defense has and by the time they do turn it around Ben's NFL career will be over. Sad but True!

Terrell Edmunds - This kid seems to a step or two behind on the football field on each and every play. Yeah he's a rookie but Holy Hell man. It's bad!
