Well if your like me there's nothing better than beating down the Cleveland Browns in a football game to show them their place in the AFC North! About the only thing you could say Cleveland won today was the Coin Toss! This was a complete game by the Steelers in all 3 phases of the game. Steelers controlled the line of scrimmage on Offense and Defense the entire game. Cleveland was 1 for 12 on 3rd down conversions & 0 for 3 on 4th down conversions. Great Defensive effort as they held Cleveland to 75 yds rushing and they are the #1 rushing team in the NFL averaging 188 ypg. The only dark spot today was a non-contact knee injury for Devin Bush which didn't look good from what I saw. I hope it's not season ending for him but he might miss significant time this season so I hope Spillane & Gilbert can step up and fill in his shoes. There should be a few less nay-sayers after this game with regards to whether or not Minkah Fitzpatrick was worth the trade and not just a one year wonder. First pass play from scrimmage Minkah steps right in front of the intended WR and takes it to the house to give the Steelers a 10-0 lead and they never looked back. Not a great game statistically for Ben but he made good decisions throwing the ball today & the O-Line did a great job opening holes for James Conner and giving Ben enough time to throw the football downfield. Also all the concern about facing a passing machine in the Cleveland Browns vs our secondary were answered today in a big way. Landry & OBJ totaled 5 receptions for 65 yards. Total Domination of The Clowns in the Burgh made this one special. So we are 5-0 for the first time since 1978 and that is the only other time in Steelers History a Steelers team went 5-0 to start the season. So here we are after 6 weeks into the NFL an with a record of 5-0 for only the 2nd time in Team History as we embark on a brutal stretch of Road Games.....@ Tennessee, @ Ratbirds & @ Cowboys. Each and every one of these games will be a battle especially next week vs Tennessee but I feel this team is good enough to win them all. Whether that will happen or not remains to be seen but this team is special.

As per Mike Tomlin's Post Game:

Devin Bush - Significant knee injury he is being evaluated (UPDATE PER ADAM SCHEFTER : Devin Bush - Torn ACL....Season Ending Injury)
Maurkice Pouncey - Foot injury being evaluated
Mike Hilton - Shoulder Injury being evaluated

Game Balls:
James Conner - 20 carries 101 yards.....great running and fought hard for tough yardage all day
Steelers O-line - Great job today really blowing holes in Clevelands Front 7 and creating opening for our RB's and they gave Ben good protection all day too
Heyward, Tuitt & Alualu - These guys blew holes in Clevelands O-line the entire game allowing the LB'ing corp to get after Mayfield
Minkah Fitzpatrick - Pick 6 on the first 3rd down play for Cleveland.
Bud Dupree - 2 sacks & 2 TFL today

Game Goats:
Officials - Too many missed calls today....holy hell man.....I saw Stephon Tuitt tackled to the ground twice in the first half and no penalty flags, the push off call against Ebron, In the 4th QTR...saw TJ Watt get BEAR HUGGED by Clowns OL.....No call.....so blatant you couldn't miss it. How the hell can they miss these calls they are so friggin obvious.

FU's:
FU to Clowns Fans the world over!

He was being held like a Hunter Biden crackpipe.

Game Ball...To ******* Tomlin....

How the hell do ya win a game by 31 points and your offense got less yardage...320 to 277 yards of total offense than the opponent?

Tomlin? 38 points on 277 yards??? You’re looking like a ******* genius...

The Standard is the Standard...******* A ******* we are FIVE AND OHHH

Cleveland only had 220 yards on offense.

Pretty hard to find a goat today. A couple players I would like to single out:
Dotson. You guys were right. Kid is a stud. They had no answer for run right. 4-5 per carry. Chuks. Same thing. Pretty much handled Garrett. Canada/ Fichtner. Takes a big man to just accept some input when you are in charge. But it is really working. Offense is really starting to click. Entire secondary with an extra shout out to Fitzpatrick. Changed the entire complexion of the game. Great play.
LOVE James Conner when healthy. Great game.

The missed calls from the officials are just terrible. One day in a closer game it could cost us.

Claypool deserves a game ball, and need more targets. 4 targets 4 catches. Not enough.

Game Ball to the O-line. Kept helmet boi quiet and consistently busted holes open for JC. LET'S GO!

I am pretty bummed for Devin..but Spillane is a good piece to have and filled in well.

The Standard is the Standard...next man up.

We need to find a way to keep Bud. He and Tj just feed off each other.

Can only break the bank for one of them. Let's hope the hype that came out of camp for Highsmith is legit. They're giving him plenty of snaps to develop.

Maybe I should have watched!

Only nitpicks, the play calling got somewhat stale with the misdirection runs. Maybe they were saving some plays for the next two weeks so there is less on tape to scout for. I feel like we repeat the same plays over and over. This works great when the defenses don't adjust but the Browns did adjust on the WR motion plays.

I still think we do best when Ben goes no huddle. Good to see Washington make some plays out there.

No, No, you just continue with the routine you've adopted. We all must make sacrifices for the greater good. Last week against the Eagles, I stayed out of the game thread and they went over 30 points on offense. So, this week, I stayed out of the game thread and they scored 38 again. While I miss the often cantankerous, witty banter during the game, I feel I must stay out of the game thread until they don't score over 30 points again. That and drinking scotch instead of bourbon during games is my sacrifice.

Fight the good fight, brother.

It wouldn't surprise me. They'll run stuff multiple times early in the game or a season just to set something else new late. They were dominating on Sunday so there was no real need to do anything outside of what was working.
