Tomlin has completed the Trifecta of December football and it's not a good one....3 losses to end the season and with it the Steelers hopes for a playoff berth that looked pretty promising after the Steelers went to 8-5 after beating the Clowns in Pittsburgh. Quite honestly I'm pretty numb after this loss and the end of the season. Our Steelers managed to put up an average of only 18 points a game this season and still managed to go 8-8. I don't have many thoughts except for individual performances this season from some talented young guys like Dionte Johnson & Devin Bush. The addition of Minkah Fitapatrick this season is definitely a plus going into next year. I pray to god that Ben Roethlisberger returns next season because the Steelers don't have anything in Mason Rudolph or Devlin Hodges. At this point if they could land a solid backup QB like maybe Andy Dalton or someone like him in Free Agency. This team will have some holes to fill starting in the off-season.....Hargrave, Dupree are both gone and I'm ok with that....Dupree still IMO is nothing special and certainly not worth the $$$ he's going to want......Steelers need to find some youth on that O-line because some of those guys....namely Foster & Big Al don't look good anymore. TJ Watt is an ALL-PRO....PAY THE MAN! Whatever the Steelers want to try and offer Bud Dupree....just give that money and more to TJ Watt. I hope our Steelers can fill some holes in Free Agency.....they need a solid TE in the off-season too......maybe Gentry can step up or who knows......maybe they take a chance on Greg Olsen for a season or two. Oh well......onto another boooooring off-season. BOO!

Benny Snell - 18 car 91yds 1 TD - Some tough yards today vs one of the leagues best vs the run
Devin Bush - 11 tackles giving him about 110 on the season. Onward & upward for this kid next season

No game balls.

The FU goes to the offense and everyone attached to it. Yeah, there were injuries. But the stupidity trotted out week after week, drive after drive, play after play with no adjustments is beyond comprehension. **** Tomlin, Fichtner, Rudolph, Duck, Juju and especially the o-line. What a ******* **** show.
 
Edmunds had another bad game. Berry is back to sucking. Tomlin has been part of the problem for years. The guy just stands there with his hat on, barely speaking, offering zero sideline coaching, and watches as his team gets their buts kicked by back ups.

The 0-3 finish sucked, but 2018 was even worse as the Steelers had a healthy Ben in that season.

About the defense: neither Edmunds or Baron should be in the plans for next season, they are both the same failed experiment of players without a position. Too small to be LBs, not athletic enough to be DBs.
 
I figured we'd win close or lose close. Didn't think the defense would let them get out to an early lead. Duck forced to pass in a downpour so it is what it is. Another Tomlin late-season collapse losing three in a row.
 
I've got nothing. Complete letdown from top to bottom today.
 
**** you to all you all, I'm almost drunk and the Steelers just embarrassed themselves once again. **** you fichtner, have some god-damned integrity and get the **** away you stupid idiot and take Tomlin with you, cool shades can't game plan for **** and let's the offense play like they were a retarded team, highschool coaches could do a better job. *************.

2018 No Playoffs
2017 one and done in the playoffs, losing to Jacksonville
2016 The last time we won a playoff game, FOUR yers ago.

If we miss the playoffs in 2020, that's five years since a playoff win and three seasons in a row with no playoffs. Maybe then some Tomlin backers will jump ship? Nah.

And 16 was the "touchdowning till 4AM year when AB's problems began to spiral out of control. And they got embarrassed by NE that year, and REALLY embarrassed by Jacksonville the next.

And 11-15 were riddled with losses and missed playoffs too.

And some wander where all the pessimism comes from.

When this football team lost to Jacksonville in the playoffs overlooking the Jags for the Pats, it was time then. That’s when I gave up on Tomlin and lost all confidence in him ever leading us to a SB ever again.

Do what you did there for the last 10 years. I’ve had too many beers and am lazy. I want to copy & paste,so I can use it all off season long for the next 1000 posts about how great Tomlin and his coaching staff have been for the Steelers. That can be my reply.

I have said it before and will say it again. Sometimes complacency sets in. It happens to all of us in our jobs,****,even in our mates. Change can be a good thing. I think CMT has done all he can do,it’s time to move on. We need a spark....a change. How many games in the last years have we come out so flat,so unenthusiastic,just so unimaginative? As most of you I could go on and on. I’ve got nothing personally against coach Mike and would love to see him 20 years from now in the Steelers hall of fame. But for now,it’s really time for him to move on.
 
I just stabbed all of the gameballs. Nobody gets one...haha.

This has to rank up pretty high in top 10 disappointing seasons I'd like to forget about. I'm not optimistic at all right now about the current coaching administration to elevate this franchise back to glory.

They have a large body of work over the years that reaffirms that feeling and conclusion.
 
Snell was the only bright spot on offense.
Defense did not do as well as anticipated.
Coaching did not adjust to the game plan that we knew was going to be there.
 
FU to RGIII for showboating and rubbing it into our guys faces. Act like you've been there. I know he hasn't, but he looked like an ***.

I felt embarrassed for him when he was celebrating a completed pass or a run for 5 yards.. really pathetic especially for a Heisman trophy winner and a guy who was drafted in top 5.

And I loved all the complaining they did about him getting “cheap shotted,” and when Fouts claimed that it was an “obvious penalty.” Isn’t the qb allowed to get hit when it comes to the option? Watt and Dupree we’re charging too hard up the field all game long to hit him, and it left massive lanes.

Yeah, it's legal. Fouts is clueless and the worst color commentator out there.

No one deserves the game ball today. They played against the rats 2nd and 3rd team. They played against a QB that hadn't started a game in 3 years. He hadn't thrown more than 6 passes in a game all year. The defense looked bad at times. Everyone complains about Barron but obviously most people only see Bush when he makes a tackle they like. The inside was a gaping hole that would make Jenna Jamison proud. Bush is an ILB. He was manhandled today. Yea, he had plenty of tackles... some way down the field... well when he could actually get around someone blocking him. Watch some of the middle runs. He doesn't even see the play sometimes. He gets engulfed by the OL. One of his tackles is a 16 yard run by Griffin. The ILB is suppose to make tackles. Timmons made a ton of them. But you've got to be able to hold the middle on running plays. He struggles with that.

The defense has played well all year but remember the other team knows they don't have to score a lot of points to win. Get 14-17 points and you're good. Baltimore's 2nd string offense did the job.

People see tackles and assume that means the player is having a good game/year. Bush had some bright spots but he's no Shazier from what I've seen so far. He doesn't shoot gaps and make stops in the backfield. He seems slower than what he ran and he gets run over cause of his size. I think he will be a average to above average ILB but never be mentioned as a top 10.

That's what I thought when he was drafted. He isn't a bad ILB but he needs big uglies in front of him to keep him clean. When you run into teams like the Rats that are going to pound the middle it's going to up his tackles but it's going to expose his weaknesses as well.
