Woooohoooo Steelers win......YEAH BABY!!! We needed this win......that makes 7 out of 8...Woohooooooo. Anytime we play a scambling QB I'm a nervous wreck watching our Defense but they did a great job on Kyler Murray who ran 6 times for 2 total yards. They need to do that again next week vs Allen who likes to take off with the ball too. As a team I thought they played a great game on both sides of the football. I'll say this now the Steelers really pilfered 2 NFL teams by lifting Kerrith Whyte (I wanna see more of this kid) & Deon Cain from the Bears & Colts Practice Squads respectively. I'm wondering if other teams start to notice the success the Steelers are having by acquiring those 2 kids if we don't see other teams start to take a harder look at opposing teams Practice Squads. This might be Tomlin's best job coaching during his career but it hasn't been his best in terms of decision making in games. Well late in the 4th Quarter of that game there was some questionable play calling....lets start with that GOD AWFUl Fake Punt up by 10 with about 8 minutes to go. Tomlin said in the post game he called it because the Cardinals only had 6 in the box....he said they executed better than the Steelers did on that play. That's an understatement he almost got Jordan berry killed! I just don't understand that call. Also the playcalling with the Steelers 1st & Goal.......2 pass plays, 1 run....Steelers should have ran the clock out....could have taken it down to under 1 minute instead they gave the Cardinals the ball with 1:48 left in the game. Nice to see contributions from the Special Teams unit today.....first punt return for a TD since AB took one to the house vs Colts ( I think it was the return where he tried to mount the Goal Post in the endzone). This Defense is really playing at a high level right now. Let's enjoy this one before we prepare for a very good Buffalo Bills team coming into the Burgh for a big game Sunday Night. The Duck Dynasty has begun.....He's 3-0 and played a great game today making good decisions with the football. OK as per a few reporters in the locker room......Jordan Berry apparently didn't hear the Steelers sideline call off the fake punt but everyone else apparently did....thank god he didn't get hurt and it didn't kill us. We got the win that's all that matters!

Vance McDonald - Concussion being evaluated
Jaylen Samuels - Groin Injury

Game Balls:
Dionte Johnson - 6 rec 60 yds 1 TD, 1 rush 18 yds & an 85 Yd Punt Return for a TD. He was clutch today but he needs to be more aware of what arm he's carrying that ball with.....classic rookie mistake...didn't cost us today but I was worried when he had the ball.
Devlin Hodges - 16 for 19 152yds 1 TD......he didn't kill us today....his throws were on the mark and he looked like a veteran out there today....made some nice runs too when there was no one to throw the ball to. 5 rushes for 34 yds
David Decastro - My god was he blowing holes in that Cards front 7 today when he pulled....really helped bolster our running game today. He was dominant today.
TJ Watt & Bud Dupree - These guys are really bringing the heat each and every week. I'm not convinced they are better than Harrison & Woodley but they are pretty damn close. Great INT by Watt in the Endzone in the 4th Quarter.
Joe Haden - 2 INT's today and on that first INT he made a great break on that pass.......he's a shutdown corner!


Game Goats:
Mike Tomlin - WTF he admitted he called the Fake Punt......NO REASON FOR THAT CALL THERE....MY GOD....I'M ALMOST PUKED WATCHING THAT. Thank god Berry was ok.
Benny Snell - That fumble early in the 2nd Quarter really killed our momentum......gotta hold onto the pigskin Benny!
Kameron Kelly - Gotta make that tackle on the Fake Punt.....should have stopped them from converting that 4th down Fake Punt
Maurkice Pouncey - OK his first game back....but some of his snaps were pretty bad......gotta get better

FU to the lesser 31 teams! The Steeler Nation invades the Stadiums of the lesser 31 teams in the NFL!
 
Johnson ,Watt and Dupree Haden game balls for sure. I even throw in the Duck for his composure and great runs at the perfect time. Game ball to fans in the stadium.

Randy Fichtner is a goat. This team starts slow on offense every game, and lets face it, most of the play calling is downright stupid. Run, run, pass, punt is about all this guy knows. Hodges can handle it. He has proven it these last few games. Just call a winning game plan because this bullshit is gonna catch up. Bills, Jets, Ravens left. Can’t play stupid and get away with it like he does with the Browns. **** his play calling is frustrating at best.

Ding ding ding. If thet let Hodges throw it on 1st and 2nd down a little bit this game isnt close. But we trust the punter to run for 6 yards.

Play calling on offense has sucked balls for both Duck and Rudolph. Free the Duck!

I think I read somewhere that the Steelers are the least successful team in the league with their first 15 or so scripted plays. I understand the offense is severely handicapped with all the injuries, but if Tomlin says the standard is the standard, you'd think they'd be a little more aggressive/creative with their game-plan.

Anyways, they've just won 7 of their last 8 so that's it from me.

If Chandler Jones picks that pass it probably was a 10 points swing. That said it looked like duck had the chance to tuck it and run to the ground instead of making that risky pass

3 great combos. I will say Deebo and Wood have the edge but Watt and Dupree is fast gaining grown. And as I said fit this passing league better. Greene and Lloyd round up in third. But there is no losers in these comparisons.

Shouldn’t have ever been an option. If you asked the Cards “What do you want the Steelers to do here?” The answer would have been “Attempt a pass”. Short of a turnover, Tomlin essentially gave them their best case scenario on that play. A -15 yard run would have been a better outcome for the Steelers than an incomplete pass. When that’s the case, you sure as hell don’t throw the ball.
 
Can only imagine if a smart mind like Tony Romo was our OC
