FRY ER MUUUUUUUUUUUTH

Really excited about this kid, going to really excell in the red zone. He has great hands, body control and size. He's not fast but speed's importance is diminished in the red zone. Can't wait until his value is totally utilized as an every down possession recieving tight end.

Freiermuth clearly knows how to use his size in the red zone. Probably the only guy on the roster who was making both of those touchdown catches tonight and a guy the Steelers will HAVE to put on the field when they're ready to score.

nice body control on the second on also.....

For my money The Steelers have the best receiving corps (Wr. /TE's) in the league and it isn't even close. Other teams have a better one. But after that. Add Friermuth and I don't like Ebron but the guy runs routes. Juju, DJ and Claypool could all be ones on some teams.

The offense should be loaded this season.
Gonna be fun

Id say Tampa Bay is the best by far with Evans, Goodwin, AB, Gronk, OJ Howard. I would probably give Seattle a nod over us as well. Browns are pretty solid if OBJ can return to form. We should definitely be in top 5 at least talent wise.

I completely agree. Throw in Najee out of the backfield and hopefully, the threat of running the ball and this team could//should be very potent this year. Ben may have a lot of fun if the O-line keeps him clean this year.

Without a top tier target I can’t put this group at the top but they are easily top 5 with the depth. Six good options at WR and TE and a seventh when you factor in Harris. Now of Claypool truly breaks out this season lookout because that will really open things up for Johnson and JuJu.

One more thing to add, I get the sense Roethlisberger genuinely feels Freiermuth is a Heath Miller-type target out there. Not necessarily a clone of him but a guy who runs terrific routes, is always where he needs to be, and always makes the catch. Over the years of watching Ben, him and Heath were always working to perfect their chemistry and I can definitely see this happening again with the rookie TE.

Fryermuth seems to be the real deal and I am pumped for that. We took him in the draft pretty high and a little surprised but can now "hind-sight" see we needed the TE position pretty bad. I wanted 2 of the first three to be OL but am glad they went with this kid (NOTE: crow well done and sweet baby ray's BBQ sauce).

Salute the nation

He's going to be drawing a lot attention every time he goes into the end zone

So will Harris,JuJu and Claypool. I'm highly optimistic our redzone scoring will take a good leap forward.

Hopefully they can stay healthy.

MUUUUUUUUUUUTH

is the new

Heeeeeeeeeeeeath

not trying to jump the gun yet but sounds cool

Liked Muuuuuuth at Penn State a lot. Great young man with great attitude. Hard worker who strives to always get better. Has the potential to be top TE in the league and will be a real weapon in the red zone.
Did you guys see the big grin on Ben’s face after that second TD to him? Ben’s thinking dejevu all over again ala Heath.

Ben essentially said this in his interview after the game. He said he plays like another TE who played so well for us. One can only assume he meant Heath. Muuuth probably isn't the blocker Heath was but I think he can be a better receiver than Heath was. Either way, it seemed like a great complement from Ben.

It's refreshing to see the tight end make difficult catches look easy, instead of making easy catches become drops.

And somebody needs to ask Pat exactly how his name is properly pronounced. Is it "mewth," "mooth," or "muhth"?

AB and Gronk are shells of what they once were.Howard can't stay healthy. Not giving them the nod over the Steelers with an overall unit. What they have is better Oline and a better crunch time HC.

Claypool will hopefully breakout and be the true stud WR we would love him to be and in his limited time Freiermuth looks like he is going to be a very good
