Free Agents

Hard for me to get past this in your post. In my free agent world I like to get people to UNDERSTAND that the steelers don't wear yellow and it's NEVER been black and yellow so get off the rap **** and actually get on your team and figure out the color's. Your rap star is singing about bad **** and not the true steelers, sorry to inform you it always has been and always will be

BLACK andGOLD

Thank you

Salute the nation

Isn't it black & mustard? There was a great thread about it a few years ago. :topsy_turvy:

Good point on the season average. But I would also suggest that "limiting" Kamara to what could have been much worse contributed to the Rams' win. Not saying Littleton is the end all be all, but to claim he was toasted as if he is Vince Williams out there is a bit much. As for Litteton's game, I'm much more concerned that he does not appear to be a classic wrap - squeeze - drive tackler (my personal preference for an LB), than I am about his coverage skills.

Yeah...who stated that? He was burned all over the field but he's not as bad as VW in coverage. Don't put words in my mouth.

I didn't claim he was as toasted as Williams/Bostic coverage. Hence the note that he "only" had 20.5 ypc against us. That was a joke.

Littleton would replace Bostic for coverage responsibilities and let Williams do what he is better at. If that happens we are already better on D.

Not intentionally trying to "put words in your mouth". The way you framed it informed how I inferred it. I just thought that it could use a little perspective. No harm intended.

Totally agree on all counts. And, yes - covering a Kamara-like weapon is not currently in the Steelers' D skill set.

I think a little perspective here could be useful. Covering Kamara on swing passes with Brees' pinpoint accuracy is arguably the most difficult task on the field. Littleton was a step or two behind, but actually limited an incredibly explosive player to 8.7 yards per reception, with his ability to make up ground and prevent big plays. On a weekly basis, he would not be asked to cover a talent close to Kamara. I'm interested to see how he performs vs. White in the SB.

He did get burned a few times, but he was on Kamara pretty damn well a few times as well. Not many ILB’s are going to succeed in holding Kamara down 1-on-1 anyways. Regardless, I’d love to see him don the black n’ gold.
