The trade-back-for-a-player scenario has become quite common in the NFL. Even the Steelers, who tend not to be too aggressive, have shown a liking towards this kind of deal. Tight End Vance McDonald*was traded to the Steelers with a 5th round pick for a Steelers 4th-rounder. Wide Receiver Ryan Switzer was traded to the Steelers […]

TE seems like a maybe but I'm NOT for any of the other players that has past "injury" prone issues. Might be worth looking into and I see one possibly happening and it could very well be TE, course the trade won't happen till the STEELERS see who is on the board at the time. I bet they get several of these "deals" in place and pending / ready.

a 4th for Sidney Jones?
hell yes

If the Bucs TE has a big contract no way the Steelers would want to go that route.

I could see them trading up moreso than picking up a player.

But with some extra picks in the right scenario, for a good value sure.

Watch Steelers move up 5-6 spots and bush is there and they take Fant. 2 TE sets baby Grimble ain’t gonna cut it

I agree, the "BIG" contract players probably are NOT going to happen. Not sure what Riddick's contract value is but that is an option should the dual Devins be gone. If bothe Devins are gone I think Fant will be there and he will be the pick.

Fant is a dynamic mismatch waiting to happen.

One of the most interesting offensive players in the draft.

McDonald is nastier but Fant has better hands.
