Foot Out of Bounds When Recovering Fumble

It didn't matter, since Moores knee was down on that loose ball stretching for sticks, but
what is the rule on a defender recovering a fumble with his foot out of bounds. I thought
that also made the ball out of bounds and not recoverable by that defender.

Just curious to know.
 
a player touching the ball while out of bounds does indeed make it out of bounds.... which is why if a kickoff is near the sideline its best to stand out of bounds and touch it and take the penalty mark off
