Eli Rogers was at the Steelers UPMC Rooney Complex on Wednesday and said he is hopeful to be re-signed. Said his knee injury is progressing well.

I am hoping.................

When he is 100%, let him come in and compete. If he is better than the new players on the team or those from the PS, he can stay. If not, cut him just as quickly as you brought him in.

Because behind Juju and AB you have a rookie and arguably scrubs. At least with Rogers in the mix it would help strengthen depth.

This. Rogers is not a #1, but a serviceable slot guy/#4 WR behind AB, JuJu, and Washington (I wager).

Good news and that is what camp battles are all about. Getting the 53 BEST on the field so why not let him compete if fully healthy???? Depth is always acceptable providing it is a elevation up.

I have no problem with bringing him back and letting him fight for a spot. I thought he was a bit overrated, but not a bad player. It certainly seems like he WANTS to be here, so what would we have to lose?

He's a good slot receiver, but right now, he can't cut and is not cleared for football activities. No team will hire an injured player. If he gets back to 100% and passes a physical, then he will be given a chance. Problem is, he won't be 100% until September.

I never saw much wrong in his play for all the criticism. Yeah, his numbers dropped last year but he had a heck of a season the year before.

He has visits lined up with the Chiefs, Raiders, and Browns.

Doesn't look like a return will happen judged by that....

He aint coming back.....and rightfully so..

Good Luck Eli....hope you catch on somewhere,

Steelers could still use one experienced WR.

dez at min but used as a te/WR but he is to much drama lets so see what vets get cut rnd of cuts if no one I would like to see Ayers brought in for a look he and rogers as #4 slot guys look very similar elusive and nice burst and with Ayers you could take AB of PR

Not sure Dez would be drama at this point. he has had time to sit on his thought process. And a team could make it clear his role if signed or not?

Eli won't pass a physical until August. I hope he gets back to playing, but I don't think he has a fit on this team any more. Juju has the slot and return positions. Quadree or Tucker can match his productivity at receiver and have more explosive upside.

If he is legitamite and can be a COMPETATIVE body in camp then I say give him a shot. MAKE sure if he sticks it's for the right reasons and not because of past chummy chum.

Why not give him a chance? He could be the next JJSS or AB. Steelers could use more depth at WR with Bryant gone and Washington being drafted.

Still have DHB, who I think is underrated. With the crop of youngsters I don't know that he'll stick this year though.

DHB does everything right, and is one of only 3 receivers we have that can play all 3 positions (AB and JuJu being the others). Plus he's our best gunner on ST. Since 2 spots opened up for WRs and looks like 2 young players will fill them. Washington is basically a lock, and the last 2 spots on the roster come down to Quadree, Tucker, and DHB. DHB probably has the worst hand technique on the team, but he is still a playmaker when he gets on the field. I only wish he was also a punt/kick returner. We wouldn't have any issues with him then!

Agree. I think with 10 years in though, DHB will lose out to the younger guys this year unless Quadree and Tucker look really bad in camp and preseason.

Eli has no business on an nfl roster. I've seen enough

This kid sucks, let him ride off to wherever
