Converted from Safety to RB at Florida State so only played the position in College the last 2 years. Similar build to Bell so he might be worth a look in later rounds. Might have a chance to stick as a special teamer as well. We bought in Matt Jones from Florida who is of similar size. Williams looks to have a bit more burst than him.

Worth a late look.............

Never even knew he was there.

RB isn't really an area of need but if he were there late than maybe.

I'd rather see them look at other positions myself. Good high light video though.

I'm all for it, looks like a solid developmental back....he's had a bunch of personal issues, so it would be a good fit for him having his big brother Vince around to keep him in check.

And to the old geezers whining about the background music, show me a single highlight video from the past 3-4 years that doesn't have some thumping bass rap soundtrack. ;) It is what it is...

The Steelers have shown interest in him either at his Pro Day or the Combine (can't remember which but they've definitely met with him). Wouldn't be surprised at all if we snag him in round 6 or 7.

It is what it is.. youre right. ****** Music. You even know it. I know everyone likes some thumping bass sound.. doesn't make this ****** music better.

that said,, I like the way he runs. one cut.. and hard.

That is just the point being made, the mute button rules.

I saw one draft with us getting him as a free agent or in the seventh round can't remember right now. The kid looks good, so did his line if a chance presents itself to get some of those guys late or unsigned there just might be a steal in there as well.

I would be all for drafting Karlos Williams. I actually did not know he was Vince Williams lil bro. He had a down year but last year and a ridiculous average and is definitely fast running a sub 4.5 forty.

The thing with Karlos if I remember correctly is that while he has talent, the FSU coaching staff questioned his desire last year. It seems that when faced with a challenge for the starting RB position from a freshman, Karlos took the attitude of "let him have it" and didn't really show a competitive desire.

I will see if I can find the article that I read, but if I'm remembering correctly, I wouldn't draft him. Bring him in as an UDFA, sure; but not draft him.

Edit: Ok, this isn't the article I read, but his draft profile raises the same concern.

He seemed almost content to lose his job in 2014

Also they question his vision and instincts as a RB (partially due to only playing the position for 2 years in college).

With the way his big bro works out, I'd hope something would rub off on Karlos if he became a Steeler.

Just wonder how that was handled. There are times that folks continue to hype that new prospect and continually throw this guy is so great into someones face the ok let him have it and see how you do with him in there. For what ever reason when something like that goes on sometimes the only way to put that monster to bed is let the new guy go out there and fail then you can get on with business at hand.

The kid looked like he would make a good second team back at a cheap price. And his brother seems to play decent and have a good understanding of the game so maybe the younger brother will have similar traits.

No thanks, N. Iowa's David Johnson is my rb pick

He'll be on someone's squad. I don't think it will be the Steelers. I could be wrong, but didn't it seem like there was an emphasis on "character" guys last year? It may have been just how their board fell last year or it may have been intentional, but there wasn't one guy who presented as a Ta'amu or Rainey selected. If it was intentional, then I think Karlos's legal history (accused of DV - charges dropped (?), etc.) along with his dings as a RB (vision, instincts) and the question about his heart and willingness to compete mean they go in another direction since there are more than a few RBs that will present equal value at the time he's predicted to be drafted.

As far as Vince being a positive influence on him, do you take the risk that the relationship could possibly work the other way? Maybe Karlos influences Vince and Vince becomes less motivated, less dedicated and less professional.

What I got out of his highlights:

Good speed and big holes to run through.

Speaking of background music, I always liked this one...especially the part at the beginning. It so fits the intensity of JL... yet people hate this one too.
Try a polka I guess.

The creator of this vid needed to check his spelling though.

After seeing Vince's physique, I don't think he can go backwards. He may be the second most jacked person on the team behind Silverback. You don't get that big by being lazy.
