I stand by my prediction that the NFL will do everything in it's power to ensure Mike Tomlin goes 8-7-1.
Jackson was fired.
Rivera was fired.
Lewis will likley be fired.
The league NEEDS one of the minority coaches to have a positive season. They CAN'T have them all fail in one season.
The Bengals won't get a call to save their souls. And Tomlin will still struggle to pull off a win, but he'll get it. That will ensure the 8-7-1 season. And he'll continue to be known as the guy who's never had a losing season.
I agree. What I don't get is why people never talk about the fact that 8-8 or 8-7-1 isn't a winning season either.

And I know what you're thinking!
But the refs did EVERYTHING in their power to give the game to the Steelers yesterday.
Well, (and try not to take this the wrong way...) If Chucky loses another game, it's a super-win. Steelers go 8-7-1 and Lewis gets his going away victory. Feel good all the way around. Now, the Bengals WILL be shafted since Tomlin isn't able to even take 130 yards in penalties and make something of it.
I swear, did ANYONE ask Boswell what cleats he was wearing?
The Browns are a very entertaining team to watch, I turned off the Steelers game recording to watch them play the Panthers for a good long time

The players come out pre game for warm ups. Any of them shouldn't have to be told if their cleats ******* suck on the conditions. He's a kicker, not a football player. Out of all of them HIS dumb *** should have changed them if it was a problem. He's done, he has the yips and can't even be counted on for an XP. Cap hit or not, the fact that he still has a job tells you how completely stupid our organization is.
The Browns finally got a QB to lead the team. He doesn't care that he's playing in Cleveland like some other guys, he just wants to go out and win. There is talent in place and if they hire the right coach, that team could make a big leap pretty fast.
