By Jared Villani SteelerNation.com Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Diontae Johnson made his presence known throughout his rookie campaign with his ability to make plays whenever he was on the field. Although his receiving stats didn’t jump off the page, Johnson provided a much-needed boost on special teams after taking over as the team’s primary punt […]

And one other point if you go to the link and watch his film where he beats the press at the line of scrimmage. In college, of all the receivers I've ever reviewed, I've never seen a WR beat the press that cleanly every time. Dude is insane, and only getting better.

DJ is why we don't need Emanuel Sanders for two reasons

1) Obviously Deonte is better than sanders, yes I said it.

2) sanders would try to curropt young Deonte (I think DJ is stronger than this but why jeopardize the diamond)

I think we will see improvement in Washington this year and maybe enough to allow JuJu to be more slot (JuJu's stregnth in my opinion). Deonte will start #2 and Washington #3 but either can be interchanged, obviously JuJu is #1 provided he can keep that spot.

Remeber, these receivers will have a new and improved (seriously, you heard it here first) Ben Roethliberger.! So **** the Baltimore / cinncinnati / Brown's ..... QBs, players, coaches, fans as we are the STEELERS, mighty mighty STEELERS !!!

Salute the nation

DJ can be absolutely badass next season. It will help open things up for JuJu as well.

Didn't like the pick last year, thought we were trying too hard to find an AB clone, even down to the same conference. Thrilled I was so wrong this guy is going to be better than JuJu, more speed, better hands and much better quickness, perfect for todays NFL.

I am more confident in DJ's skillset next year than Washington's.

This begs a good discussion though Cope. What is to say Washington doesn't have a better year with Ben back out there in 20? There's nothing that says he can't improve between years 2 and 3. The same can be said for Juju who we all know played hurt from Week 1 on.
