Did Skylar out play mason

While I have said the kid shows promise, he didn’t play the same level of competition. I would try and keep him around somehow, since I don’t think Rodgers makes it all year and they will need that 4th QB.

The question is do you believe Thompson is better then who you can pick up when you need another QB during the season?

Can Rogers lead the Steelers to a SB ? Highly unlikely. Could Mason or Skylar lead them to a SB. From a objective point of view almost lottery winning odds no.So now it comes down to which gives you the most realistic fantasy of Rogers leading the to SB on a short term starters situation Mason got them in the playoffs teonyears ago i realize Coliie is vesy eaget

I've said this since the Landry Jones days...Tomlin doesn't do a good job of evaluating QBs. Never has. It was hard to watch Landry Jones struggle through three quarters and then the third or fourth stringer would get a series or two if they were lucky. very frustrating. It's almost as if he has a favorite and doesn't care what the others do. And I'm beginning to see a trend with this at other positions as well.
 
Rudolph played okay, but his two INTs are not balls you should expect from a vet with his experience.

Thompson played against, but also with, worse players and I thought outplayed Mason pretty significantly. That ball to Miller to set up points before the half is a difference maker. Thompson also brought it each game, not just the first where I was skeptical.

Now, the issue becomes what do the Steelers want in a backup QB because they play different styles.

Rudy;s got less mobility than the archaic guy in front of him, and less arm strength than the guy behind him.

Skylar's been balling out every chance he had here. The difference between him and Mason is night and day. Skylar can move and buy himself time when needed - and is decisive with the ball.

Mason - never should have drafted him and then never should have brought him back.

neither will - at this point - lead us to a 7th ring, but if I were calling the shots, Mason would be gone.

Nope. Golfed. Couple beer on the course. Then couple more at the watering hole then 4 or 5 rye by the fire pot. I remember it was going pretty coherent at beginning. Got quite bad at end. Hit post anyhow. God I love summer.
 
I think he doesn't throw last nights int. In the real season.

The mustached one still should be #2. And not #2 the way a few of yall think

I think Skylar has had a better showing in preseason than Mason.
Has been much better than I ever thought he would be.
I like his arm strength, decision making, accuracy and ihas a smoother delivery than Mason.
Will he make the 53? Imo, no.
I think they will go with Mr.Rodgers, Mason, and Will Howard.
Skylar has good tape this summer and will make some team’s 53.

Mason has been going up against the number 1s. Skylar again number 2/3s
