Nope.

Sorry some of you couldn't see it, but after winning our second game in a row on D, where they only allowed 3pts to a team that was in the Super bowl Last year, this D is getting after it.

Not only that, but I was at the game tonight, and the crowd was electric tonight. Want to know why? Because we had a D to root for. This town was built on great defenses, and nothing gets this crowd jazzed like big defensive plays. Epic night tonight. The D is back and the crowd is also back along with it.

Final point, you don't go from the worst D in the league week 1, to a top 10 D in 9 weeks without dominant defensive play.

Rant over, I'm off to bed!

I was with ya the first time you said it, & still here now.

Also want to point out that we had no Ramon, Conner or Snell on offense and although they didn't light up the scoreboard, Mason and the O did their part in taking back the momentum with that epic drive in the 4th quarter when it mattered. Yes, 'twas only a field goal but they held the ball for 8 minutes when the Rams were surging.

They weren’t dominant last week, giving up three passing TD to Brian Hoyer. The same Hoyer that managed three INT against Miami. The defense was indeed dominant against the Rams. That was as good a performance by this defense since 2008, maybe 2005. I’d say they are still a little up and down, but trending in, the right direction, if you will. The arrow is pointing up, obviously.

Reminiscent of 2008. Seems like everytime Goff dropped back, Watt/Dupree were in his face.
I can recall Harrison and Woodley getting crazy pressure 11 years ago.

Minkah is something else. Turnover machine. It’s nice to have a good defense again. Wish we had this during the killer b era.

I think people forget how good the 2010 D was too.

Just the rules changes about how we could hit WRs midseason (remember Timmons blowing Wes Welker up in 2008?). I still say that one rule change is why we didn’t win it that year

They dominated one game. They weren't dominant last week and haven't been dominant all year. They are not a dominant defense. It was one game.

Let’s remove “dominance” from the discussion. For me, lately they have passed the eye test. They are flying to the ball, somehow tackling with first hit (yeah there still some misses), pass rush is crushing, Taking the ball away via picks or forced fumbles.

While we may not be dominant, but god dame feel and looks alone we came a long ******* way. I can’t recall the last time I said during a game, the Def can win this. Someone slept something into there drinks. Let’s gooo

And the fact he was lost for a couple weeks, in...a ....van down by the river.

I don't think he was lost....... I think he was "discovering" things in his journey.

YES, this "D" is showing very positive play. May NOT be as dominant as some here want but the rules changes are NOT going to allow a 2008 D ever again. I'm along for the ride as I've always been more defensive oriented.

You can't be blinded by the poor defensive play over most of the decade to think this defense is dominant now. They are terrific at making splash plays and doing enough to keep this team in it each week. What I like is they came up big yesterday to stop the Rams on a potential game-winning drive.

I don’t think it was beer then. Maybe some shroom action?

Always a possibility but I think it was more in tune to "self aware" type discovery..............
