That sucks. I would have honestly never thought it was his knee based upon the one replay I saw. I thought maybe it was an ankle.

Sonovabitch...that ******* sucks.

Terrible injury for the Steelers Defense. It's going to be a challenge for Tomlin & Butler to replace him in the middle of that Defense.

Robert, time to make your mark.

That's what I figure happened. It sucks.

Let's go Spillane and UG III.

Sigh...I'll keep Devin in prayer.

One thing I've noticed (though) this team is adjusting on the fly. Like I said in the other thread - we're going to need UG to get up to speed and fast - cause we're going to need his speed to track guys like Lamar Jackson down...

The instant he went down with a non-contact knee injury I figured it was an ACL. Rarely does that happen when it isn't a season ender.

If you're on Twitter follow ProFootballDoc. He's always on top of things analyzing replays and diagnosing injuries on the spot.

Hope this doesn’t impact the D the way losing Shazier did. That D never recovered, perhaps until we got Bush.

Bush isn't even close to what Shazier was. Don't get me wrong, Bush is good but he's no Shazier. Spillane will fill in fine.

Very reminiscent of Rod Woodson going down vs Detroit back in the day

He is done for the season unfortunately

Id call every losing team looking for depth adds or rob a practice squad

I'll bet our front office guys are doing that this very minute. I think we have his replacement already on the team but definately do the scouting.

Salute the nation

That sucks. He will be missed. Someone else with speed as a QB spy will have to step up. Speedy recovery & best wishes from the Steeler Nation go out to you Devin.

There is always the curious case of mychal kendricks... he was supposed to be sentenced on the 14th for that insider trading conviction... There was rumors that was going to be delayed indefinitely due to coronavirus... if he was available and in any sort of playing shape, he would be the best free replacement... though if he fits the system idk....

I was hoping hamstring when it happened. Best wishes to Devin. These kids are so tuned up it just happens over and over with the non contact ACL tears. I think Spillane can handle the base defenses fine, but they will likely have to help him with some substitutions in certain packages. I believe they had the allen kid preparing for that, but I know he hurt his foot. I highly doubt he has Bush's coverage skills, but it wasn't like Bush was killing it on the blitz. He is good getting off blocks and against the run, but Spillane looked decent this afternoon. Everyone needs the big boy pads next week.

That sucks, its a loss for sure. His back up Robert Spillane looked pretty good for 2 quarters.

Hopefully that can keep up... injury fill in often tear things up for a game or two until teams find weaknesses... though occasionally they end up being as good or better than their predecessors... but one half a game isn’t much to go on

I thought it was a meniscus. His knee buckled and he couldn't walk on it. You can usually walk on an ACL, so when he went off the field in pain, I was hopeful it was his meniscus. Unfortunately it was the worst possible outcome. Godspeed Bush!

Called it as soon as it happened. It was a no contact injury and he just collapsed. I wanted to be wrong and thought back to how excited we all were when we traded up for this kid and finally got that speedy MLB to cover the field. We are going to have to hope the coaching staff can find someone who can plug that gap. Do they move Edmunds down there, stick with Spillane, go make a deal? It may become a platoon spot. We will miss Bush the next two weeks against run first teams.
