Desaun Watson

Again i think Watson is a top 5 qb in the league... he is ten times the passer hyped crapballs like Maysfield or Jackson are... Houston wont deal him for less than multiple #1s, and people don’t realize that while bens cap hit is real high, his actual salary is well below average... these top end established qbs are going to make serious bank... we aren’t getting him cheap in any way shape or form...

There’s always a way. If you don’t have a franchise qb you are always searching for one.

If they weren’t in cap hell with Ben or in general- yes. Watson is better than Jackson. He can make the throws from the pocket and is that modern QB that can get you there.
Realistically- it ain’t happening

yeah but Bill is gone and watson is pissed they didn't discuss the GM spot with him and now wants input on the head coach.

He is a talented QB. Light years better than Jackson

but I do not think he is elite

play calling has held him back, but the guy makes plenty of mistakes on his own

Yeah this is a ****** ignorant thread....

Watson essentially thinks he should be the GM. Thinks he’s Lebron and wants to run the team. Hard pass.

Blame the current culture, media, talking heads... They are the ones putting the QBS on such high pedestals, they are now THE FACE of a franchise. So why wouldn't he think he has some say in it?

I'm not saying is wrong or right, just how things are these days

Art Rooney II on Deshaun Watson if no Ben Roethlisberger:

"I would be guilty of tampering if I started mentioning names of quarterbacks we might be interested in so I've got to shy away from that."

Interesting he choose the words “might be interested in”.

how did O'Brien ruin his career? He traded for a LT to protect him. For all the whining about trading away Hopkins, Watson had a great statistical season without him. Why do people think Houston could have given Watson the big contract and also made Hopkins the highest paid WR? Hopkins was either getting traded or holding out.
